Even though I'd never vote for her party, I have to admit one thing: It's impressive how Angela destroys her coalition partners and increases her own popularity. Strike two. Glückwunsch, Bundesmutti.

I wonder if she's going to throw a party tomorrow in the Kanzleramt :D

Their supporters will party all week. If I look at this result as objectively as it's possible for me, I have to admit that this is an extremely impressive win for Merkel. At the moment it even looks as if she can reach Absolute Mehrheit.

I had NPD on top, followed by AfD. Took number 2 ;)

Ouch, how could the NPD get to the top? Thanks for choosing #2, I think germany have given the Nazis enough chance to rule.

I did it too, which is quite surprising since I mostly answered as a no-nonsense technocrat akin to Chinese, South Korean or Singaporean politics. It's not like if they asked I want to see the Bundestag closed down.~

Either way, next time around I'll be sure to spend beforehand the three months in Deutschland I need to be able to vote.

I was too harsh you are right. But I'm really tired of all this stuff. Sorry if I came off as a douche. It's just a very sensible subject to me. As for the bolded stuff: I never said anything like that. And I never would. That's precisely why I'm sensible when it comes to claims like these.

Well, sorry for me being so aggressive in that last posting. I guess I'm a bit sensible in that respect too, I think it somehow reminded me of a discussion I once had with some ignorant guy, who had heard about conspiracy theories involving the Bilderbergers, but actually knew so little about the subject that he actually believed the Bilderberger meetings are completely made up by tinfoil hatters. So when our discussion suddenly touched the subject, he made fun of me believing such conspiracy theories, even though what I said had absolutely nothing to do with the common Bilderberger conspiracy theories - I just mentioned that a certain journalist had attended the latest Bilderberger meeting, which I considered as proof that he is quite influential.

I find it kind of sad that CDU/CSU is about to get the absolute majority.

Especially when one considers that in fact, just 20% of the people living in germany actually voted for CDU/CSU - just every fifth person.

And way less people voted for other parties. That's how the system works, sadly.

You should see if  you could crash it.  Network.

Bin dabei, Arnold.

FDP out of Bayern, out of Hessen, out of Bundestag within one week. Auf Wiedersehen Fipsi und Brüderle.

Sorry, I come back to the thread so late. I was over to a friend watching the polls and stuff.

Very funny was the line of shame the FDP displayed. They were all standing there in a line and all looked very sad. It had a comical effect.

No but it lessens the chance of RRG.

The world will not end with red-red-green. In the end I would expect not much to change. As you said yourself, the red-green coalition was entering wars and bringing Hartz IV.

20% is too low. 42% (result) of 73% is something around 30%. One third voted CDU or CSU.
