He could probably come up with some misleading number that's "one more" by saying something like they've shipped more consoles to retailers or they're producing consoles at a faster rate or they'll make more money selling less systems due to the higher price point or something. If you try hard enough, there's always a way to bullshit consumers. I remember when the Gamecube was selling worse than the PS2 and Xbox and one year they said "Nintendo is the only one that can claim growth" or something like that. That's what he meant. If they wanted to, they could find that bullshit angle.

I pointed out what Spencer most likely meant. How Sony said "millions" of pre orders for the PS4 when we know that isn't true. However technically millions (in this sense) means anything between 1 and 1.5 million, but sounds like 5 million.

What sounds better? Saying we have a little over a million pre orders or saying we have millions of PS4 pre orders.

Every indication we have shows that the PS4's pre-orders are greatly outnumbering the One's, because of both demand and supply.  The real reason they didn't throw out a number is because it would make them look bad in comparison to Sony's 1M+.  I'd be surprised if they have even reached 500K at this point.  For you and MB1025 to even suggest that Sony is lying about that number shows you guys are really reaching for straws.

They officially said over 1 million preorders at Gamescom.  It was Yoshida, a few weeks later, in an interview that said millions.  So, either they have hit 2M preorders since Gamescom, or Yoshida mispoke and they are probably closer to 1.5M.  Either way, it will be well above MS's preorders at this point.  And Sony is going to have enough supply to meet those preorders, and then some.  In the end, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a ~1M gap this year alone between the PS4 and One.

You believe everything Sony says I bet lol. I was pointing out that some believe everything Sony says but nothing MS says. 500k ok dude I guess you're throwing around your numbers to. I basically asked nothing but why believe one but not the other if they tossed a number. GTFO with that reaching for straw shit. I didn't say nor do I give predictions on anything. 

You are correct, as it stands now reports are Microsoft will about break even with every Xbox One console sold.  Sony was hoping and planned to do that, but with the falling of the yen, have warned their investors they will be losing a little wih every console.  The more the sell, the more they lose (short term). Tough break for Sony.
