Those numbers ms released were numbers sold under 24 hours.  They specifically mentioned that timeframe in their statement.  You just have poor interpretation skills.

Umm no, how do we know how accurate that is?? PS Sony launched in 2 countires and sold as much as 13 for MS, sony outsold x1 in MS strongest territory. Dem interpretation skills.

My god you keep beating that drum don't you? Everyone knows Sony shipped 1 million consoles to North America first week, MS shipped the same to 13 countries first week. It does not mean that MS did worse than Sony, it means that they decided to take a straight forward approach rather than delay a WW launch for less traffic issues and more time to manufacture.

If we look only at the numbers then you are right. But if we are looking at the whole story, it does not look to good for MS right now. Sony did well launching in Nort America one week before MS. And MS counter attack by going out 1 week earlier in Europe and in 13 countries. Microsoft targeted their best countries, while Sony focused it's launch on where it was being destroyed by the Xbox360. Sony's launch in the US was bigger than MS in the US. Even if numbers were 50-50 that would have been good news for Sony. But MS did say they are breaking even or minimal lost which is good for them while Sony requires one game and a Plus membership to start making money is the US, but breaking even in EU. Both console had phenomenal launch. So far Sony is winning, has price advantage, and launching at the same time than Xbox One. That is going to be an interesting battle to see.

I find it hard to believe that some people think that Microsoft shipped to multiple countries jsut to counter Sony's 1 million sales in North America. I'm no expert but I think it takes more than one weel to set up the logistics of something like that!

hmm not saying you are wrong, but that's pretty much where we disagree... not only do I not believe for a second that the PS4/XBox one gap will be as dramatic as some people make it out... and don't think it will ever be anywhere as big as the peak gap between PS3/XB360....
Second I have also my doubt that no matter what PSN sub will come close to XBL subs even with a larger install base... pretty sure more people will get XBL this gen still than PSN.... just because MP is not the only reason to get XBL (unfortunately for some) and a lot of XB360 owners are just used to it by now anyway... so the penetration rate will be higher on XBox one side than PS4 I think..
third and here too I have no Sony numbers.... but I'm pretty sure MS does generate more money outside of XBL subscription with monetization of content and services than Sony and this will hold true...

now like I said this is just a divergence of view.... you might be right....

This is old. I have read this before. On here to. Before the launch even.

So the second highest console launch of all time and the writing is on the wall..........Yeah ok

Wrong, MS never even sold out, there was stock available everywhere for x1. Also where is tyour proof? Saying ti doesnt make it so.. Fact is Sony is outselling x1 in the US, let alone World wide where quire frankly they have no chance.

MS launched in 13 because they knew they could not match sony's lainch, just so they could say they sold 1 million also.

Notice how Quick MS were announcing the 1 million figure?? Says it all. If they both launch in jusy NA sony would jhave sold more, it is clear PS4 has much higher demand everywhere. But keep up the damage control.

What is this "stock available everywhere for x1" garbage? Why, because you saw a pic from Best Buy on the Interwebs? Yikes. I wish stock were available everywhere, I'm going to try to buy one in a few days and I can't find one anywhere except online in some stupid $700+ bundle.

But really, you're implying MS read Sony's 1 million PR, then immediately decided to ship to 13 countries just to be able to say they reached the same number? aka MS is the greatest logistics company in the world? Seems you don't understand how the real world works. What, did they air drop all of these consoles in to Gamestops and Walmarts around the world? LOL

yeah me too :D
I pictured it and now I kind of wish they did :D

It could make for a great comercial with hundreds of people running in the streets like swarms of walkers a la 28 days later lol....

The interviewer's questions annoy me. He doesn't seem like a gamer. Why not make Halo at launch? As if the game was ready and Microsoft just decided to wait a year.

And this tablet crap.... Ugh.

Surprisingly good responses from Spencer though.
