Doesn't have anything to do with a fanboy argument. It's common knowledge and widely accepted that PSN is slow, shitty, and was designed to be the exact opposite of user friendly and future proof. Of course all technology has hiccups. But that's like saying we shouldn't drive cars because hey, sometimes the tires go flat, or sometimes the battery dies. That's what it's like with Live or Google or Steam (I have no Apple experience). With Sony it's more like you're driving a Pinto and about to get rear ended and burned alive. Leave fanboys out of it and just call it like it is. I doubt even the biggest Sony supporters would claim Sony has designed a service that can ever come close to the other companies you listed. Then again they probably would.

So get this, it turns out At&t doesn't even actively support my plan anymore so if I want higher speeds I have to upgrade...

thing is my bill is now $91 for house and Internet...when it used to be $95....so I'm paying less for the same phone plan and Internet 13 times as fast as my current plan. I can't help but feel like I was being ripped off seeing as they should've told me about these things...but it's a great deal in the end.

PSN download speeds do suck, but it has gotten better as of late. Download speeds from my other devices are a lot faster.

Anyways, that sucks to hear OP. A couple of people from GameSpot also had the same problem and were pissed about it as well. I remembered when I purchased Fatal Frame 2 from the PSN store, and the game was all glitched up. Sony fixed the problem after a month or two, but that's the last time I purchased a digital game from the PSN store on release date.

For $40 I get 50 mbps from comcast. Your getting ripped off. Check your local pricing. Call , do you know how to haggle.

Well, nice to see that it's a solid improvement. People should always keep an eye on what's going on with internet infrastructure, it gets upgraded so fast and most people don't find out unless they actually research it.

2 years ago, my phone/internet plan with Sky was £36 per month for 8mb, I move to HK for a year and come back, because I was looking for a new contract (again Sky)... £20 for 13-20mb. Had I stayed with Sky that whole time, I'd probably still be on the old rate/speed.

I would say its slow but not shitty and if people are finding it not very user friendly then there is something wrong with them. It's harder to open a bag of chips then it is to use the psn store.

So why are people mad that Sony is charging for the service? The PS4 is set to have a great online service and you are talking about the PS3, and the current system that they have in place which is terrible. A future all digital Sony console would be great, not a PS3 digital console.

And of course I am talking the past. That's all we have to go on. Like my post said, I hope they make great strides in online on PS4. But thus far their efforts have been pretty meh.

I had it pending download before I started watching Netflix which it doesn't download during that time. I fell asleep while watching Netflix, PS3 auto shut off, came back on later because of the auto updates, downloaded and installed the game. I started playing this morning. Was playing about seven or eight hours before I quit playing and made some dinner Then doing other stuff.

I think the PS Store sucks, but not because of downloads anymore. They've increased the download speeds earlier this year. The PS Store sucks because it's so laggy when browsing the store. The old PS Store was great, the new one takes me a few minutes just to get all my free PS+ content, so I usually wait until the end of the month and purchase it all at once.

Sucks that you haven't been able to play the game yet.
