I'm getting one in November, but I am a little afraid Nintendo might drop it if it doesn't pick up.

I know that logically they've invested too much in it to afford to pull the plug, but my anxiety and pessimism get the better of me sometimes.

That is pretty much it. Lack of third party support makes for it easy to wait a couple years when Nintendo has rolled out their great stable of games (Smash, Kart, Zelda, etc.)

If Nintendo didnt dump the N64 or the Gamecube they will not dump the Wii U. Nintendos biggest problem has been third party. That and their top first party is slow to come out. Platinum Games wont save them, it will just give them some gamer cred, but what does that really even mean in Nintendo land?

I'm not on the fence. I'm just waiting for the right time. I'm not in any hurry to get a Wii U, I don't feel rushed. I'll get one when I feel like it.

The game that sold me on a 3DS was Kid Icarus: Uprising, and I still didn't get one until a few months after that released. I waited until the timing was right for me.

I'm just waiting for Smash and MK8.

Exactly the same and served me well past two generations.

the wii u itself is the reason...there is nothing it can do that ps3/xbpx360 does not do...i wouldn't compare the wii u to PS4 or xbox one for obvious reasons....

Already have one. No regrets. Better 3rd party support than Wii (until now). Is OK to me.

Well, someone keeps making threads that make me really doubtful about whether I want one. If that guy would just fucking stop, I could blow my three hundred UK dollars without a second thought.

The only thing I'm really interested in is the new Smash, and I'm not going to put money into a console for only 1 game.
