I'm strictly talking about hard core gaming.

Am casual so i don't know what i am talking about like 93% of the time. Just wondering what you think of Mario Galaxy 1 & 2. They claim to be the highest rated first party games on this metacritic website.

Thanks in advance and i'll pray for mojo.

They're great games, but didn't do 1/100th for the platforming genre that Mario 64 did. Mario 64 pretty much gave birth to the modern platformer and rewrote the way we play them, and games in general.

You responded! Mario 64 was too hard for me. I got lost in one painting. I asked someone what to do and he told me with a smirk on his face that there are many more paintings. I took out the cartridge in shame and started playing that south park game. Also seems like gaming media and reviewers are bunch of casuals like me as they gave  galaxy such a high score and implying it is almost as good as something like GTA4. Will be ignoring their advice because i want to become a hardcore gamer.

As promised i'll be praying for mojo even more now. Goodnight. :)

I also want a Wii U for X, SMTxFE, Smash, Bayo 2, next gen Zelda, and Mario Kart 8, but that is about it. I cant really justify buying a console for only 6 games. Idk if I want a Wii U or a Ps4 now. Third parties arnt an issue for me considering I have a good gaming Pc. I think if the Wii U announces a few more jrpgs then I would jump on it instantly. However if Ps4 comes out swinging at TGS with tons of Japanese games, then I would have to pick the Ps4 due to it having a concrete future of support.

Get a PS4 or just sit pat with your PC.

The Wii U games you want aren't even coming for a while, by which time the Wii U will definitely be cheaper.

U act like the Wii and motion controls werent a big deal

I'm strictly talking about hard core gaming.

Wasnt NES pretty casual back in the day?

You ever see old people in nursing homes playing Ninja Gaiden, Kid Icarus and/or the first Metroid? lol. Hell, people who've never plays games in their entire life probably couldn't even get to the first castle in SMB lol.

U ever see people in nursing homes playing Monster Hunter Tri, Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid Prime 3?

Three great games that were absolutely outsold by Wii Sports, play and Fit.

Ninja Gaiden, Kid Icarus and Metroid are three great game that were absolutely outsold by Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt and Tetris

I'm not sure about Ninja Gaiden, but I do know Kid Icarus, Metroid, Super Mario, Tetris, and Duck Hunt are all million sellers. Software sales on Nintendo platforms in the past used to be much more diverse. Yes Super Mario Bros. dominated, but lots of other types of games found a lot of success too.

Kid Icarus sold almost 2 million copies while Metroid sold almost 3 million on the NES.

Always more games, they're starting to build up, so I'm getting closer

Because for $50 more you could get a PS4.

You could get a PS Vita and a PS3 for the same price.

You could get a Xbox 360 and a 3DS for the same price.

I enjoy my other consoles more so than I would a Wii U to justify spending that much money on the hardware. Will wait until price cut, as of now, the value simply isn't there.

How does any of that negate what I said? Tri and Prime 3 sold about 2 million each, Xenoblade almost sold 1 million. Wii is just as "hardcore" as NES.

I'm gonna say something Iwata-san is not gonna like.

Its price. The system needs to be on the 200's for me to be inclined to get it. I wont get a Wii U for 300 when i can get a PS4 for 400. With that said, the Wii U has a very interesting line-up for this year, i would love to get it, money permiting. But if money permits it i am probably gonna wonder if i should get a PS4 as it seems to be a bigger long term investment.

I got a wiiU but I wouldn't buy it cause of the lack of games and price... However... Nintendo wont ever abandon it... They never have abandoned a console (virtual boy doesn't count) in the last 25-30 years they have been in business... Should you get a wiiU? Yes if you like Nintendo First Party Games and for future potential. No if your expecting loads of third party support. At its worse... it will be like a Gamecube... Also remember that X is coming along with a few other zomfg titles such as smash bros

Also you can trust Nintendo to do what they have always done cause they have been in the games industry for over 25 years and that is support their console when everyone else has abandoned them (least on the western front).
