You shouldn't say anything. I would say the same thing about you, but you barge into Nintendo threads instead.

I liked Dark Souls, but shouldn't reviewing a game be pointing out the games positives and negatives and scoring it based on that, not scoring it based on how much you liked it.

Remove scoring from a review and you see how people like them more. Nowadays people just focuses on the number.

Yeah I saw that on my SMT4 review.  I had complaints about the world map and the size of the maps in the game but fairly good graphics and good music, so I give it a six for graphics and sound, and people kept asking about the score.  Six is good, but people are too focused on the anything less than seven is crap since that's how journalists do it now days.

Personally I think the scoring or rating system is fine but silly fanboys keep throwing spanners at it. Saying that I believe some developers "buy" good reviews no matter how much the critics deny this. The world in general ( more so where money is concerned ) is crooked and dishonest so why should reviewers be any different.

If a 50-60 score is average then a game with a 70s rating is well above average. But these days less than 90 seem to represent a poor game. Sad.

Just to add, the way I see it the best reviewers are found on sites such as this one. Obviously you have to wait for the game to be released and you can't take just take anyone's bias review, but for the systems I have there are a few members that give really good opinions or reviews on new launch titles.

Every review could come out with zero's and I'd still buy the game. It looks fantastic and a lot of fun.

I just so happen to be a Platinum Games fan, but they can flip flop since they arent an all around company. Also, since when have I talked down about a Nintendo game? This is the only gen I haven't owned a Nintendo console.

Yes, but I can be critical of Platinum Games even though I love their hack n slash and post-Capcom arcade style. They have so much potential.
