Review scores are a matter of opinion. The average score is your proper guide. Keza is always a very focused reviewer he/she...whatever it is.

But you can put your opinion into a review. That wouldn't make it more subjective, you would be only submitting your experience as the player, aside from being the reviewer, since there are solid things on which you can work objectively. That's what most reviewers fail to comprehend.

When your friend talks to you about a bad experience playing a game and describes it, is that not need to know info to warn you before your playthrough?

No. One of my friends describe Dark Souls as "Gaaaaaaaaaah iiiiiiiiiiit's tooooooooooo haaaaaaaaard it suuuuucks". Yet I purchased it and I think it's an incredible game. And I don't believe the game is THAT hard, it's just a matter of mastering it.

Its been a really tough year with regards to review scores. Aside from The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite even the best games haven't been getting 9s or 10s.

Someone should probably tell him that.

I thought he handled that pretty well. And I wholeheartedly agree with the "Get rid of fucking score thing" part.

The thing is, they have a bad relationship with critics.

And PR/marketing budget highly influence the reviews (even more for the reviews that make it to metacritic)
