Imo Art Direction > Polygon Count and Nintendo is one of the best in the business when it comes to Art Direction

When you release game... I agree with you.

But Nintendo is not releasing games for Wii U...

Pikmin 3, out now for Wii U from Nintendo:

Obvious talks are obvious. It's unlikely that we will see many of the OpenGL 4.X features and modern architectural differences compared to the older PS360 until much later. Until that happens, the games will pretty much remain around PS360 quality with better textures. The extra "oomph" of the GPU has likely not even been used to its fullest extent quite yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to see multi-platform games these next few months that'll show just slight technical superiority.

My opinion about Pikmin 3...

An amazing game released too late... this game could have been released earlier this year or even at launch... the impact caused in Wii U moment and sales could be way better than now.

Something wrong is happening inside Nintendo... it is almost a year and Nintendo still have few games to coming for Wii U (the console needs more... way more).

Look, i agree that NINTENDO is amazing and have lots of talent behind them. The problem is that the list of games out NOW is severely small. And although later WiiU will have some great titles out, its not enough now to get people to spend on it when the new big boys are out soon with huge titles ready to go. I love my WiiU, but they are taking WAY too much time with putting big games out.

What I meant was, it's one of those beautiful Nintendo games Jizz_Beard_thePirate was talking about.

I agree with you (and I do that not often). Pikmin 3 was announced as a launch-window game.

VooFoo who?

Nintendo don't usually aim to have very graphically advanced games, they focus more on art and this is apparent from their releases this fall.

Of course it still has a lot of potential, i just wonder who will show it, i don't think it will be the new zelda, maybe x or a game from platinum.

Damn these chess pieces must be hardcore.

curl-6 it doesn't matter what comparisons you do for 360 launch and now because lets face it when have 3rd parties ever tried to push the hardware limits of a Nintendo console?

Look at Wii most games looked on par if not slightly worst than gamecube games.

So unless Nintendo get Retro to develop some hardcore game that evolved around gfx I don't think we will see the full potential of the Wii U.

:P

Ok, I agree third parties usually don't push Nintendo hardware, and they certainly haven't so far with Wii U, but we might still see games from  third party partnershipps like Bayonetta 2 push the console in the future.
