Whoa....people not likeing the removal of a clock? That historically brings down the enjoyment of any game its implemented in.

Free world exploration anyday, basically GTA with zombies.

The clock added a lot to the immersion, some urgency instead of: Oh well he's under attack calling for help, but I'll first help this lady cross the street, do some jumps, break some crates, pick a few flowers and when I happen to be in the neighbourhood he'll still be there exactly the same as 2 hours ago.
It's the same as removing the clock from Tokyo Jungle, makes a completely different game. Indeed just GTA with zombies.

Well if you want to help the lady calling for help, it is in your power to do so......or you can go off on a tangent. Open world games tend to be better without deadlines. Nothing wrong with GTA with zombies at all.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I know some of the fans are hating on this already, but to be honest Dead Rising games were never good, and major changes can only help it.

I guess that's a subjective statement, right?

Perhaps, yeah, but what is the point of saying that. We could just say that about any game really. "Duke Nukem forever is a bad game" ... that is subjective. "Silent Hill 2 is a great game" ... that is subjective ect.

There are aspects of games that are not subjective though such as technical glitches, graphical power, ect. ect.

I never cared for Dead Rising though. Maybe it was because I had too high of expectations for it or something, but the silly nature of the game, restrictive time limit, and inane nature of the combat just made it come across as decent at best to me. Hopefully, the new features of DR3 make it more enjoyable.

Yes, but you implied that only the die hard fans enjoy the time-limit, and then remark that Dead Rising games aren't good. That's plain false. You didn't like it; that's fine. But that doesn't apply for everyone.

They are getting rid of the time clock?
Looks like I'll keep my pre-order. Excellent news.

It's just that simple.

Dead Rising 1 is one of those games that got me so annoyed at one point I sold it after only having it for three days. Played a little DR2 on the ps3 and was better than the first, but still had annoying parts. So far the more they change from the originals, the better chance I will actually play it.

I'm not going to type out "in my opinion" every time I judge a video game ... it is implied. I was trying to suggest that a time limit in a sandbox style game (which DR has always been) just seems weird.

I am aware that some people like this, but I just don't understand why. Time limits are great for games built around them, but the general idea of a sandbox game is to explore a game world at your own pace... not to just see parts of it while being forced to do 100 play thrus to see everything.

Besides ... time limit is there in a different mode if you are into that kind of thing.

The timer made the game. Without that pressure there is no challenge whatsoever. ...and no, an optional mode doesn't matter if the base game isn't designed around the timer.

Bad Casuals - 1
Decent Gamers - 0

Thank God someone understands my frustration xD

and me that thought we were playing for fun.... I enjoy a challenge every now and then.... but not the wall freaking game forcing me to do things on a time schedule.....

I play first for fun then for challenge and that's only with games I really like.... so before challenging me.... try to  deserve it ( talking about the game)

I'm glad time limit are gone in default mode
Fuck time limit,i'm not playing Forza Rising 3

Good one.  Also rescuing people is always more of a pain then fun even in the second game with the improved AI so I wouldn't mind if they droped that also.

With DR 1 and 2 the game really doesn't become fun until you get your character up to the max level (level 50).

I had lot of quotes this time

Just unlocked another achievement

anyway, maybe I'll play this game one day in someone's house
