I actually was getting ready to write TLOU off for the first few hours to be honest. The part where you are at was also before the game really blew me away. It just didn't seem as good as people claimed and the AI was atrocious... I kept playing, started getting into a groove with combat and it finally started to click. Story in the game ABSOLUTELY gets better. Its really a game you have to take in in its entirety to appreciate.

I didn't like the early parts of TLOU. The intro was epic, but before meeting Ellie and directly afterwards it wasn't very fun imo. After the major plot advancement in Pittsburg the game picked up and never let down. Love what felt to be a double climax near the end though.

If you call yourself "biggest RE fan", it means you are the biggest RE hater on this site. 

RE6 is amazing, objectively much better than RE5 and Revelations. It gets all the hate, just because its not a mainstream title. Wihle TLoU offers  (gameplay-wise) nothing new, RE6 has a unique  3rd person shooting mechanics. If you get into it, its a lot of fun. If you don't want to learn and master the new mechanics its frustrating.  

To be fair, the first half of TLOU is rather dull and monotonous compared to the second half. Imho.

It may have already been said. But from what I see you went into TLOU with the wrong mind set. RE6 is NOWHERE near the same type of game as TLOU outside of it been 3rd person in my opinion. RE6 is action while TLOU is survival/horror AT IT'S FINEST. It makes you really think on how to plan out your next move.

While RE6 has moved away from the survival.horror aspect and is now just run and gun action. So they are just different games. You have your own taste and I say good for you!

I will also say I had more fun with RE 6 than TLOU mainly do to the the co-op; my friend and I played the whole game(except Ada Wongs story) doing offline co-op and had a blast

Well a fun exciting TPS > One is for a story an scary experince(from what i read) and one is just for fun and blow stuffs up(from youtube)
