Nobody is interested because it isn't all positive. Negative Nintendo news and positive Sony news always get the most posts

Hopefully the games will be somewhat more next-gen come launch.

Your first sentence(s) are nonsense.

In fact, negative threads usually generate plenty of replies, no matter what company it is. Also, if you're someone known to jump to a topic where the company in question isn't your preferred, it makes sense why you'd be there.

Was Dat winky face not enough for you?

I hope you aren't accusing me of being one of these people, though. I have feelings too!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

This is exactly why I despise Killzone. Yeah its a great looking FPS, but that is all. The controls are terrible and 60fps should be the standard for a FPS. I don't want to hear "its supposed to feel that way and GG wanted 30fps." battlefield has heft to its guns and it runs at 60FPS+ (PC) and it is responsive. Being unresponsive and 30fps =/= heft.

Seems the smilies went over your head.

So it would seem. But sadly sarcasm doesn't come across well over the Internet

Still, as fun as this is it is a bit (by that I mean a lot) off topic...

I could never care less about the 60fps issue. The only thing I'm looking forward on next gen is realistic facial animation during cutscenes.

Everything else is bonus. PS3 graphics are enough to me.

I guess we'll hear more from you regarding every other FPS that isn't 60fps next gen, yes?

I hope so - I think especially shooters and racing-games should have 60 fps as target. I think at E3 MS said that Halo 5 is also 60 fps target. Not that Halo 4 was bad, it at least had a constant 30 fps with no downbreaks.

I wouldn't worry too much about 60 FPS. Some games need it while others don't. Even certain racing/shooters can get away with it. Crysis for pc is a notable game that can get away with around 30 FPS. It's not as jarring as it can be in some games running at 30 FPS. Give me that any day over 60 FPS with it moving all over the place.

I also wonder why DriveClub is 30fps, I've read some interview with Evolution Studios, that they still are not certain about the end framerate, but I guess it's too late to change that. It's dissapointing since all sports games should be 60fps mandatory this gen.

As for Killzone, I'm glad they are keeping the lag similar to that from Killzone 2, I loved the mechanics from both previous entries, will love them here, as they seem similar. The other parts of the game are what I'm not sure about. The larger areas, Crysis like protagonist, setting. This all is very different from other Killzone's, and I'm not sure that for the better, at least for me. I don't mind 30fps in shooters, as long as it will be stable.

I thought I've seen some stutter and frames dropped in Knack gameplay from Jimmy Fallon Late Night or whatever. But I'm sure they can iron that one out.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

There goes the 60fps dream...

Very very disappointing. :(

I just played Burnout Paradise on PS3 again. It reminded me how good 60fps feels and looks, not that I needed a reminder. I can't drive nearly as well with only 30fps. Compared to 60fps, 30fps feels more like a sequence of individual frames than motion to me.

But it does make sense. PS4 = PS3 x 10. Going from (native at that) 720p to 1080p = 2.25x times less horsepower left + going from 30fps to 60fps = 2x less, So only 2.2x more GPU horsepower left for graphics. Something's got to give. :(

Man, sounds a little disappointing. The gameplay in the Killzone trailer didn't look very smooth.

Looks like we're all going to have to run crying to Sony Santa Monica and Naughty Dog.

The best part of the article...

"No smoke or mirrors from Sony - everything we saw was running on PS4 hardware. But it's still early days and many of the games clearly require a lot of optimisation."

I commneted yesterday about the input response issues in Kizllone franchise... they fixed a little in Killozone 3 but it is still behind CoD for example... I expect they to make a inpute response even better for Shadow Flaw but seems like they didn't for now.

Sony said is targeting 60fps in DriveClub... the game is the less finished game at E3... the time will show if they can reach 60fps or not.

PS4 showed the best graphics at show... running into PS4 iself (not overpowered PCs)... inFAMAOUS and The Division.
