60FPS + 1080 P will be used in a few games. 1.8 TFLOP GPU is not that great to support it easily.

The best graphics of the show were running in PS4 hardware... inFAMOUS and The Division... the games that came close to that was running into overpowerd PCs lol.
What game on Xbone showed better graphics?
@CGI-Quality
Yeah you will hear from me about that. So far every other FPS I have any interest in runs at 60FPS. Halo 5, COD:Ghosts, Titanfall, and BF4 (will get on PC). Seems like Guerilla Games dropped the ball but continue to defend it if you must.

It probably was the same comparison as made in the last paragraph of the op, not sure.

The behind closed doors, off-the-record talk is that the PS4 is running hot. Hence why you saw the issues with the two games at E3. Apparently the GDDR5 memory is the source of the heat problem.
Urgh GG....
Well they were quite clear about aiming for 30FPS @1080p.
The input lag is either a "design choice" or more work needs to be done on the game.
Killzone 2 had an insane input lag. Borderline unplayable. They claimed it was a design choice but i gotta disagree there. I think they went over the top with visuals. Killzone 3 reduced the input lag significantly but it was still present.
Tough situation though for GG, people who play Killzone expect hefty movement and aiming as its signature of the Killzone franchise. But this also alienates a lot of people who just can't stand it and want the COD feeling. This is why i have always felt they Sony needs to drop the franchise on PS4 and go for a more casual friendly game.
I think input lag should be made as low as possible, with no exceptions. There are other ways to make the game feel realistic. It should never be a design choice.

The didn't make a comparison in graphics terms... only in performance terms... 30fpsx60fps...
But I agree Forza 5 (if running into Xbone hardware) showed better graphcis than DriveClub.. .and better performance... but Killer Instinct is this-gen game in terms of graphics, there are some advanced effects but at the end the graphics are the lower showed at MS conference... so it is not hard to understand why the game is running at 60fps... low graphcis PSN games runs in 1080p@60fps in PS3 too and Xbone is way more powerful than PS3.
For now the only exception is Forza 5.

But it's still early days and many of the games clearly require a lot of optimisation." I commneted yesterday about the input response issues in Kizllone franchise... they fixed a little in Killozone 3 but it is still behind CoD for example... I expect they to make a inpute response even better for Shadow Flaw but seems like they didn't for now. Sony said is targeting 60fps in DriveClub... the game is the less finished game at E3... the time will show if they can reach 60fps or not. PS4 showed the best graphics at show... running into PS4 iself (not overpowered PCs)... inFAMAOUS and The Division. |

First - why is there so much input-lag? Second - Some fans seem to like the input-lag for whatever reason. Seems the crowd is undecided. They better fix the framerate to be at solid 30 fps, everything else would be a shame.
"Sony said is targeting 60fps in DriveClub... the game is the less finished game at E3... the time will show if they can reach 60fps or not."
Doubling the framerate means twice the amount of polys, besides other requirements. At least doubtful.
"PS4 showed the best graphics at show."
Arguebly, at least!
"running into PS4 iself (not overpowered PCs)"
I know you are in defense-mode and I know that you that this is not entirely true :) Forza5 ran at 1080p60 and AA.
"inFAMAOUS and The Division."
Oh, I saw some screens from infamous at GAF in the thread with the same topic which really looked bad... But I won't argue your opinion, let's talk about facts :)

XBL-games did the same, ethomaz. But aside from that, it would be a shame if Killer Instinct wouldn't be 60 fps. It just fits appropriately. Also Ryse was impressive and ran on the real hardware, but it was "only" 30 fps. And leave this "(if running into Xbone hardware)" - DF said it, the ones that also said PS4-hardware was the hardware for PS4-demos. Either believe them or don't.

Guys just to add to this whole 1080p discussion....
1080 @60FPS means nothing.
60FPS is awesome, no discussion needed about that 60FPS>30FPS. Doesnt matter what the resolution is, if a game is running at 60FPS, gameplay is usually smooth and responsive. A must for driving games and platformers.
1080p on the hand can be applied to any game. You can take mario from way back and make it 1080p, it will make the game look clear and crisp but the old assets will show through. 1080p by itself doesnt mean anything, you need the assets to go with it.
In the case of Forza running at 1080p@60FPS compared to Driveclub running at 30FPS...it might be a case where the assets of Forza are not as high as those used in Driveclub. I obviously don't know this but thats how these kinda things work.
It still seems like people are arguing over the power of consoles though....which is really stupid at this stage. Sony went for the more powerfull hardware, MS went the more cost/heat efficient route. This will show in games and the difference will be significant. It's just a matter of buying a better GPU for your PC...its not complicated guys.
