@Xen   I wanna play Catherine 2 :(

Is there any word of something like it, or just your request? Never heard of a sequel to Catherine, tho I would love one.

...if Index/Atlus make it out safely, that is.

No, there's none. And as far as I know, all nine endings of Catherine were closed ones. I loved the story (The gameplay not so much, but hey), so a spiritual sequel would be awesome.

Think about the opening. Catherine was a "tv show episode" on the program "Golden Playhouse". The host, Trisha even says "tonight's episode" when opening the narrative of the game. There could easily be more episodes with different kinds of gameplay, new storylines, etc.

So some possible scenarios if Atlus gets sold off.

Atlus goes to Namco, Sony or Nintendo?

I'm leaning more towards Namco, but Sony could really use an in-house JRPG dev.

Out of those three?

Nintendo, I bet.

Why is that? Cause of SMTxFE?

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

That, and

1) Sony doesn't seem to show all that much interest in making JRPG's, or all that much niche contect for that matter.

2) Namco has a huge array of JRPG studios. Multiple Tales studios for example.

I hope they stay 3rd party, both Nintendo and Sony gamers seem to appreciate what they put out.

Catherine and Persona 4 Golden are two of my favourite games, and I'd love to see what they have next.

That is the least most likely one of the three, imo.

Whatever do you mean? ^^
(Yes: I also don't see it happening, but if it were, Ninty would be the one)

Didn't know spacing out so much makes it look like a huge thread!!!

Now I can make a huge post!!!

OT : Atlus better not close, especially NIS... :(

I just copy/paste the thing from the source, and the spacing was there already. I tried erasing it to no avail :(
