That just seems to be a guide to forum-goers. Not just "Viral Marketers." 
Ah, well. At least I figured out what a "Viral Marketer" is!
A lot of them just got banned on GAF last night, from the Xbox camp. It was quite funny.

I think this is a myth. Viral marketers are extremely rare on forums, except for the occasional post here and there perhaps.
The reason is simply that allowing someone with an actual full salary to be posting on forums is not effective enough. No one can be persuasive enough to make a difference to the degree that it pays said person's salary. Especially not in an ocean of dedicated fans and fanboys who passionately work for their companies for absolutely free.

Implying a forum user is a paid marketer is dangerously close to calling them a fanboy. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here but any other namedrop won't be tolerated.

How is that close to calling them a fanboy? It'd be calling them a paid employee. Not saying he actually is, cause I honestly don't think he is (Though he does work for an advertising firm...) But what if it was true? That'd be weird O_O
