Implying a forum user is a paid marketer is dangerously close to calling them a fanboy. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here but any other namedrop won't be tolerated.

This of course applies to everyone.

How is that close to calling them a fanboy?  It'd be calling them a paid employee.  Not saying he actually is, cause I honestly don't think he is (Though he does work for an advertising firm...)  But what if it was true?  That'd be weird O_O

deadly2choke's comment came off as "disolitude is way too much on Microsoft's side, he must be a viral marketer paid by them" which is an insult to a fellow member. There's a slight chance that deadly actually thought disolitude worked for MS so that's why I didn't go straight to a ban here.

Wish I did work for Microsoft. They pay 10-20K more per yea for the same job I do right now.

@deadly2choke

I should feel offended, but I'm not for some reason. Probably because you clearly don't understand what a viral marketer is and what he would do on a website like this.

@TruckOSaurus

I do not work for an advertising firm...Can we all stop pretending we know things we heard thoguht a grapewine.

I know a few people here who fit that description. Won't name them though since there is really no way for me to prove it.

I admit I'm getting paid to hype games.

What other explanation could there be for liking Final Fantasy XIII ?

Having worked with viral marketers.. They are much smarter then the fanboys and wouldn't be caught that easily.. They won't act as insane fanboys.. (sure there will be always an exception..)They get paid to be smarter then an average forum member.. And if people think they are on a forum as small as vgchartz that just insane.. Viral marketers are much more active on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter or more mainstream sites.. This site ain't worth it with 200 active members.

The more talented ones probably work on bigger sites, where there's more exposure to be had and where it could be easier to blend in with the crowd. From what i've read, viral marketers can also work in bulk, and when they do so they *will* target smaller communities and essentially go for quantity over quality (flushed out of one community, you try again at another, and have a dozen or more accounts active at any given time)

thats how it worked 3 years ago.. Pushing quantity.. Nowadays with the rise of social media its a different game.. Small communities like this site aren't worth it.. We can't retweet, repost, like, pin, stumble etc any of the posts.. So quality counts far more these days.. If they were here you would see them at the comments in the articles.. If they were here on these forums i would ask my money back if i payed them.. The more loud fans are just fans like people can go a bit overboard with being a fan of a certain sportsteam

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Some members may as well be collecting a check from their favorite company.

I don't like it, I fucking love it !

not sure if we have them here but i think we have "normal" employees of sony and microsoft here. and that is not really a wonder with those huge companies and a site about something those companies do.

and one from google, that's what i'm pretty sure about

now i wanna eat doritos....
yeah it worked fine with me
