VGKing, why did show double standards. Explain yourself.

This thread and this thread. This post also explains pretty much everything.

You can read through and all questions will be answered.

Read my post above this one. You just have to deal with it. If my posting in Microsoft threads pisses you off, then that's all the more reason to continue doing it. Sorry.

Well VgChartz already forbids discussing moderations and critiizng mods outside a select few threads such as this one. I'd say we're halfway there already.

I'd rather support something that "partially" allows free speech rather than the alternative which is none at all. If you can't speak about other user line of action or thought, you, me, and 99% of VGChartz would have been banned already.

Don't embrace something you don't actually support.

This has nothing to do with free speech. It has to do with keepin threads on topic, preventing unnecessary bans and preventing feuds.
You don't see the bully playing nice with the bullied. It doesn't work that way. Someone needs to stand up to that bully. That someone needs to be the mods.

In real like some people get critized for being gay, being stupid, being nerdy or even being fat. Here on VgChartz we get criticized for our preferences. Here's what I think: People need to criticise comments, not the user making them.

Carl went to an old post I made. Months old. Now, like all human beings, I am susceptible to have changing opinions and preferences over time. A good example is PS Move, I thought it would be the best things ever and kill the Wiimote. Then I tried it myself, its collecitng dust. My opinion has changed. I am human.
After Carl dug up my old post, I decided I didn't like getting stalked and critiziced so I edited that old comment and made it blank & I made my profile viewable by friends only.

I'm sure Carl wouldn't like people bringing up his old posts for everyone to see. So if anyone has double standards here, its probably Carl.

January to April. 4 Months. Hardly a long time and its not just that post, it was your actions in the thread.

It was more the trying to cover your tracks after you got caught that made it hilarious. Your original reply to me in that thread (before you edited that too) also says that youre bullshitting here - http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=5312442 - "This is different". Your opinion didnt change in 4 Months. If it did, you would have stated so in the thread rather than saying it was "different" and trying to defend yourself every possible way other than saying "My opinion changed".

Ive posted my mod history before. People are free to go look through my posts and ask mods for links to posts that got me banned. I know I was a dick. I know I acted like a dick. I know I called people dicks. The difference is, I can admit to it

Once again. Its not the preference that gets you criticised, its the comments. Its how you act in threads. Its how Joe Bloggs strolls into the Nintendo forum and says "lul, Wii U is last gen baby!".

Preferences have nothing to do with it. I prefer PlayStation and I get along with users from all camps. I play games with users from all camps.

Funny because most Nintendo fans on this site probably consider you an internet bully.

No.

So you say that the mods have the ultimate power. Can't I criticize their actions? They have free will to ultimately do whatever they want with the users?

If we couldn't criticize mods, we wouldn't even been having this conversation. The same rule can ble applied to users.

It's not a matter of bullying. Some behaviours are subject of opinion, whether that user want to accept it or not. You accept people based upon whom they are, they way of thinking, not their actions. A close friend can do things you can't understand or don't agree with, but you would still accept him because you've previously connected to the person. Of course, actions tend to be a manifestation of his persona, but this is not always the case.

Formulate an opinion about a person is imprescindible. It's free speech what we're talking about. Crossing the line between opinion and bully is where the banneable thing start, but not before.

Well it is easy to blame the users. But I sometimes have the fealing that some of our mods respond to every report with a ban.

You say saomething about you get banned by certain mod (even if it is objective observation), the you mention this in another Thread you get banned by another mod. You try to argue with somebody, he runs out of arguments reports you and you get banned.

On the other hand a mod trolls all over the place, gets reported and nobody gives a fuck.

Well I gotta say nice job guys, really nice job.

What happened to warnings? So one knows when he is overstepping? You might misunderstood the concept of a community. We should work together not against each other.

Easily over 50% of all reports are discarded. Mods get rarely reported, very veryyy rarely.
Warnings are handed out to people who haven't a lot of mod history or to those who were clean for a few months. Clearly you should've have learned after your first warning, but you either did not read the forum rules (that are sent with every moderation) or you chose to ignore it.
You received two warnings for trolling and two warnings for flaming. Don't act like you need more warnings to get the point that violating the rules is bad.

It's prefectly logical, that it seems like more bans are handed out than warnings, because it's true. There are users who choose to go the wrong path and these get moderated all the time, so they only receive warnings at the beginning and there are those kind of users who know how to behave well and very rarely violate the rules, so they get always warnings but only once a year or less frequent.

Signature goes here!

I see things a little different.

I don't belong to any company, games, console...........If MS, Sony or Nintendo is doing something stupid, they need to be called out on it. What kills me is suddenly people's feeling are involve in those issues.

In the last coupe months, Sony has done things right while MS has really become anti consumer, and rightfully so, they got hit hard with the fans.
What's surprising is a lot of people can't handle their console maker being attacked, so Sony fans were blamed as usual and threads after threads were made which lead to Mod changes, rules changes.

Are you calling me a dick? Tell me how you really feel. The difference here is that I'm not a "dick". Really. If mods want to know why I find your posts against me offensive, this is it. You just implied that I'm a dick. This isn't in my head, this isn't be being easily offended. You are being passive aggressive and constantly criticizing me. Just don't. Ignore my comments. Report them when you think I'm trolling and be done with it. Stop whining about how you don't like my behavior or posting style. It's not up to you to call me out on it.

@bold
That's a drive-by and clear trolling. You really think that's what I do? I guess I'm lucky I only have 7 moderations the past 3 months.

I don't think so. VGKing is lacking in the ability to construct a solid argument in the first place and also lacks the ability to talk himself out of a hole that he dug for himself. He comes into Nintendo threads, makes blanket statements, gets called out, backpedals, gets called out again, backpedals further and it ends once he decides to leave the thread. VGKing isn't a dangerous individual at all. The Xbox fanbase complains about his negativity, the Nintendo fanbase plays with him.

The worst part is that he's in favor that this kind of thing - talking about someone's (VGKing) persona - should be against the rules of VGChartz.
