queue people who love steam coming in and saying this sucks.

When we get 75% off deals on Xbox 1 games on a regular basis, it'll be a fair comparison.

Exactly this! +1

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Thats like a big fuck you to rural areas and developing countries. I guess MS really only cares about the US.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Any word on BC or used games?

This is the DRM solution that even Sony will use. Mark my words, they have been coy about this on purpose as they didn't want to be first to confirm it.

However, they may leave it as not mandatory, but up to each publisher to turn on for their own software.

Nintendo may likely copy this in a future firmware if this is a cause for further 3rd party banishment, similar to EA.

This is exactly what I'm worried will happen.

Blurring the lines even further between PC and console gaming.

@superchunk: You really think Nintendo would go down this route as well?

Bad news for people without an internet connection and for those who buy used games.

I don't buy used games but I do have Gamefly so I either cancel my Gamefly service or not purchase Xbox One or PS4 (If PS4 does it).

This and you get massive price cuts on newer games aswell. Not to mention the developer packs that give you hundreds of bucks worth of games forless then $100, sometimes even $50 or lower.

Edit: with xbox 1 i thought you meant the first xbox...

I can also start my steam games without internet connection btw.

I'm a bit confused about this.

It sounds to me like you put your game in the Xbox 1, you sync that copy to the Microsoft server and thus that copy can't be played on any other Xbox console.

That dosen't sound too bad, because it looks like a way of fighting against piracy. Which I do think is needed because the developers loose out on piracy.

I do agree with ways of combating piracy, but I don't agree with an always online connection to be able to play a single player game. Maybe Microsoft can meet their consumers half way on this issue?

Ughhhh this is annoying. I never buy used games BUT I do sell them when I'm done with them to buy more games... How does a company have any right to do this crap?

people in this thread are on their knees hoping and praying that Sony does this along with MS

Lmao

Misery loves company XD
