WII U still has a little time, Vita however I really can't see retailers stocking it for much longer especially with new consoles just around the corner.

Why exactly? As big as Call of Duty is, it makes up less than 9% of PS3 software sales, and a similar amount for 360. Even if every CoD buyer was unique (i.e. nobody bought more than one version of the game) you'd still have over 20 million PS3 owners who haven't bought a copy.

I'm talking about the more in general the shooter market that tries to copy CoD as a whole along with partially CoD itself.

Then why do you post obviously incorrect data? |
I provided a proof of a faulty concept. that the end result wasn't just irreconcilable, but well beyond fudging. So that nobody else wasted their own time trying it out for themselves. With twenty five thousand to play around with. You weren't going to reach any kind of a concensus based on the math. So any numbers they so choose to pull out of their ass are equally valid.
From NeoGaf, a comparision of US handhelds at the 26 month mark:
After 26 months:
GBA: 15.1m
DS: 9.1m
3DS: 8.4m
PSP: 7.4m
Note, this time period is right around where the DS went supernova and started selling 400-500k a month, so that gap between the DS and 3DS is likely to rapidly grow larger as the 3DS seems to be averaging more in the 120k-170k range a month.
Wow at the GBA in its early days too. What a monster.
Also that whole claim of the 3DS being launch alligned ahead of the DS is now technically false. It's fallen behind.

WOAH. Didn't know GBA did that well.
And PSP too.

Yesh, didn't think the valley could ever be so low.
GBA sold 35m in the US - three years were roughly 7-8m units. Not as good as Wii, which had 2008, 2009, 2010 at 10m, 10m, and 7m but still a damn strong peak.

It hurts to admit it as a Vita owner, but the console is dead in the States.
Not being able to even sell more than 20k is absolutely horrifying. The numbers have been trash for a while, but I can't imagine what Sony can possibly do with it at this point if it's selling this badly a year and a half out. This is straight Dreamcast bad.
