Many people seemed to think that they wouldn't be there at all. I don't know how they thought this, but they did.

Either spreading FUD or not actually reading what is in front of them.

Take your pick.

I'll go with spreading FUD. It sounds like a virus, and virus's are always a jolly good time.

Hasn't Nintendo been doing multiple media events at E3?  Was it last year, or the year before, when they did one for the Wii U, and several others specifically for the 3DS?  I remember Non-Specific Action Figure ended up appearing more than once I believe, so it might of been last year.

Actually now i'm more confused than before...

Correct me if I'm wrong @ anyone else who understood (I just skimmed through it).

They'll have a booth where people can play the demos of games (which will be available for the public) and they will also have a meeting with distributors/partners (not viewable for the public) about the future.

But information about new games, hardware changes, software changes, etc will be given out on Nintendo Directs.

Yes, this is correct. This is very easy to understand... Nintendo booth at E3, meeting with partners, no large conference at Nokia Theater with media and investors, BUT announcements etc with Nintendo Direct-like shows at the same time. So gamers will receive all the information about new games and plans; press will play Nintendo games at booth and then publish news and previews etc... Not a big difference here. I don't understand why people so screaming, lol.

Some of these gamers just make me laugh at how silly they make themselves out to be when a piece of news comes out. I mean how daff some people must be in not understanding what Nintendo is saying. Like these these dude can't read, and certainly can't comprehend. Then you get the haters that get into a blind rage of bias when they read anything Nintendo related, and expect every Nintendo news to be the final nail in its coffin.

I swear, without Nintendo, it seems there will be no excitement in this indurty, and in this case, just same boring old press conferences.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

Its not that they WONT be there, its that they seem to be REDUCING their presence. Rather than having a large conference with lots of media, andwith fans to generate hype and noise for all announcements they seem to be reducing the amount of media they are inviting (at least that is what the comments imply imo). They are also not doing anything for fans other than having a booth for games which I find strange. I just find it really strange that they are splitting the presentations as they will likely make less of a splash.

Many people seemed to think that they wouldn't be there at all. I don't know how they thought this, but they did.

Eh. If so its just a few idiots hearing what they want to hear. It was pretty clear to me when I first heard that they were just splitting events and reducing their presence.

did i read we (the public) get to download the demos playable at E3?

NICE

Apparently 2K isn't going as well to E3. Huh.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Do people assume the news only shows or reports about these conferences ? I mean come on people give it a break it's not hard to figure this out.

A little of both, likely. The usual suspects seem to jump immediately to the more negative conclusions, while others may just have a more legitimate love for the big e3 spectacle and are fixated on that part of it.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

WHO cares about the public demos NINTENDO need MEDIA exposure cause the MEDIA write POSITIVE things about NINTENDO.

Also not like public people who are too far away from E3 will invite their friends to play E3 DEMOS only, cause that is a LUDACRIST IDEA.
