Games do, however. BF3 is a last gen game that happens to have a PC release. I think it's fair to put the PC version in comparison here, since it is still a last-gen vs current-gen comparison.

acually battlefield 3 is a PC game that happens to be on consoles. PC was the main version of battlefield and the console versions are downgraded in pretty much every aspect. if you want to compare BF3 vs BF4 on consoles. compare them on the PS360 VS the PS4. and then you will see a big difference

This is a bit better than BF3 (which is boner-inducingly beautiful), but I could easily name 5 games that look as good or better.

Any chance of that last pic being Dubai? Probably somewhere in China, but at first glance I thought Dubai for some reason.

There aren't even 5 games out there that look better than battlefield 3... on PC at least

Not sure that counts so much on Battlefield 3 as it was designed for PC and ported down. It doesn't have the limitations of being designed around the current gen consoles. Even games that have been designed around current gen consoles can be pushed on PC due to scalable engines (e.g. Crysis 3, Witcher 2).

That's what I was thinking. The draw distance and HDR is great, but when the gun takes up a quarter of the screen, you actually want it to look decent.

I'm not sure about this game. I actually want it to be great, I really enjoyed Battlefield 3, but they really need to mix up the formula. I don't want Battlefield 3.5.

though the comparison would still be flawed since these are clearly PC shots. i guess we have to wait until PS4 footage is shown

BF3 was heavlily optimised for PC. A game which "just happens to havea PC release" would be Call of Duty. PC has always been the main platform for Battlefield. hence why there were huge difference between the PC and console versions in the past. P.S.  this game is still coming out for ps3/360.

we already saw next gen graphics on the ps4 conference.

 

OT: looks great, its what i expected, after i have seen kz on ps4 and crysis 3 on pc is not easy to be blown away. but its in the top of them all , need to see video in 1080p


Battlefield 4 looks noticably better than Killzone, I assure you
