Still, games do have generations. BF3 is a last gen game that happens to have a PC release. I think it's fair to put the PC version in comparison here, since it is still a last-gen vs current-gen comparison.

Not sure that counts so much on Battlefield 3 as it was designed for PC and ported down. It doesn't have the limitations of being designed around the current gen consoles. Even games that have been designed around current gen consoles can be pushed on PC due to scalable engines (e.g. Crysis 3, Witcher 2).
