And? Producing enough units, secure reliability, finding a good price are all stuff that has a company to organize to get good sales. If you all say PS3 was priced $599 and XBOX360 was sold out after launch, that's why these aren't comparable - well think how WiiU would sell if it only had more games. It has not, like MS did not produce enough units and Sony wanted too much tech that increased the pricepoint. So the companies are to blame for bad sales.

Nope, WiiU launched better than PS3 even if you include the european launch for PS3. WiiU sells less on a weekly base now, even if you don't include europe for PS3. WiiU had 2 million 5 weeks after launch. PS3 had 687K. In the 5 weeks after european launch it made 1.1 million WORLDWIDE (not only EU). Together that makes less than 1.8 million. So WiiU launched better, even including european launch. Looking at thefirst years weekly sales WiiU is trending below PS3 even before european launch. So looking at the real numbers help avoids such wrong statements. (The conclusion that WiiU is doing worse than PS3 is true because of the second part, not because of the later european launch.)

The PS3 sold 1.1 mil in 4months? What where are you getting your numbers? This is for 4MONTHS. We are going off of 4 months in Europe not 5 weeks.

Nope, the PS3 sold 1.1 million in the 5 weeks following the european launch. I add that to the first 5 weeks of PS3 and that number is lower than WiiUs first 5 weeks. I don't compare 4 months with 5 weeks, that's no comparison.

ahem, Sony shipped 3.5mil Ps3's in 2 quarters while JUST launching in Europe. Nintendo shiped 3mil in 1 quarter and judging from sales in NA and Japan they will ship around 500k in quarter 2. Soooo.... yeah

This whole debate is how much the Wii U sold in 4 MONTHS. Not 5 weeks not 2 day not 3 4 MONTHS. 

4 Months in Europe tell me how much the PS3 Sold especially when it was DOUBLE the price of the Wii U.

Go ahead im waiting then add it with the rest of the PS3 number from when it launched 4 months into the U.S,Japan,AU etc...

Can't all you guys read? What interest me the shipments for a full quarter, if I compare 5 weeks? 5 weeks PS3 after european launch + 5 weeks PS3 after launch < 5 weeks WiiU after launch.
And that doesn't mean WiiU sells bad NOW, it only means it had a better launch than PS3. PS3 sold better on a weekly base in the first year than WiiU does now. And that even without europe.

But that doesn't even make sense to compare.

this whole debate is about the launch, as this thread is titled 'Wii U INITIAL Sales Better Than PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360?'. I bolded the part you don't read. And I said again and again, that the WiiU launched better as PS3 even including the european launch and is now selling less. And you say four month, we don't have 4 months of WiiU-sales data so dar, so we can't compare that. But we have a bit more than 3 months now. After 15 weeks the WiiU sold 2.6 million and the PS3 sold 1.8 million. I'm pretty sure if we follow on the aligned cumulated sales for PS3 will be better at some point, as the weekly sales in the first year (Jan-Dec) are worse than the one of the PS3. But until now the good initial sales have the WiiU above PS3. Wait a little more, than your PS3 will be above. But I doubt we can talk about initial sales anymore.
