And here's a developer saying Wii U is  more powerful than PS3 and 360:

http://www.destructoid.com/5th-cell-wii-u-definitely-more-powerful-than-360-ps3-231285.phtml

By how much? The dev I spoke to said it's more powerful by such a small amount that you may as well say they are on par. Considering the CPU, this would make sense.
Either way, we have yet to see it actually demonstrate any power beyond what we can see in the 360 & PS3...So people can say it's more powerful all they want, but until we have some evidence, I'm going to side with the devs who say it's virtually the same.

No console ever shows its full power 4 months after launch. It's potential has yet to be even close to tapped.

It's already surpassed the PS3/360's capabilities with Trine 2, a launch title.

As for comparissns to the PS4/nextbox, it doesn't need to match them to be powerful. They are not out yet. It's may not be powerful by tomorrow's console standards, but it's powerful by today's.

Where's the proof? I ain't seeing any games on the Wii U that shows it as being powerful by todays standards. In fact, it performs worse with a lot of multi-plat games...

And wrong about consoles not showing their power. PGR3 was a release title and clearly was a next-gen game. Same with Resistance & Motorstorm. Wii U doesn't have a single game that looks any different than a standard 360/PS3 game.

Those games all represented a tiny fraction of the system's potential, just like current Wii U titles.

All those games showed an improvment over the existing consoles. Not a single Wii U game shows an improvement in the slightest. In fact, a lot of the games perform worse. The fact that it's so hard to make games look better than current games should make you wonder just how much better the games will actually get.

Trine 2 Director's Cut exceeds PS3/360 capabilities, developer Frozenbyte has confirmed this.

If you port a game made for one system onto another with a very different architecture, without taking the time and effort to optimise your work, it will perform worse. The PS3 struggled with Half Life 2 back in the day, does that make it weaker than a circa 2004 PC?

Links plx. Frankly I really couldn't tell.

The fact that BLOPS II can be ported from the 360 to the PS3 just fine, and performs worse on the Wii U is worrying. You really can't use the excuse of different architecture when the games been ported to the freakin' cell.

Developers have had 6 years to learn the PS3's architecture. They've only just had their first experienvce with Wii U's.

While the WiiU had initially a better launch over the holidays, the numbers faster were going down and are very much below PS3-numbers, even with PS3 excluding initially european sales.
Look at this: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=152379
You can see, that the weekly sales in the first year are far behind PS3 and the LTD-sales show the trend that PS3 will overtake WiiU-LTD sales in around 10-15 weeks.
