Forums - Nintendo - Indutry, thirdpartys and sony/ms fans are decided to get rid of nintendo this gen

I think Nintendo did it right last gen. F--- the elitest core gamer crowd and connect with an audience that enjoys the type of games that Nintendo makes. The problem with 3DS/WiiU is they pandered to the 'core' market only to be shunned once again. They should have stayed focused on the market they won with DS/Wii.

IF Nintendo drops out of the hardware end - which I doubt they will do - they'll make a killing with Pokemon, Mario, Donkey Kong Country, Kirby, etc., etc. on iOS/Android devices. Any of their main franchises would be downloaded millions of time in the first week and they'd reach a far, far larger and far, far more accepting audience there than making games for PS4/720.

Right, like playing DKC with touch controls would actually be...fun. lol. If Nintendo goes software only, it'll be on the other two consoles and it'll be awesome. They won't do a Sega and go down the tubes. Imagine a mature Zelda or Metroid done with the power of the other consoles.

With all the recent bad press about the new  nintendo system (WiiU), Cliff Bleszinski and his thoughts about  Nintendo:  "Nintendo could possibly be faced with the situation of becoming a company that only makes software this gen", Third partys like EA, THQ and others bad talking about the new system and all the doom threads Sony/MS fans created aparently the industry as a whole wants to get rid of nintendo  once and for all.

did you have a theory for this to happen?, why the industry as a whole wants nintendo to fail? (and be a software only company).

The industry wants console makers to be able to make consoles they want to develop for specwise, that enables them to easily port and just develop once.  They were calling for 8GB of RAM, which Sony delivered on.  Microsoft is also to likely match that to.  Nintendo has not.  If you fail to meet what they want, and have options, they won't support you.  That is what is going on.  It isn't a case of wanting to get rid of Nintendo, but just wanting to support what they want.

No japan proves my point that it does count as its one of the main markets that has helped PS3 catch up to 360 since 360 doesnt sell at all there. If it did the market would be alot wider between Ps3 and 360

Surely a handheld thats only successful in a Japan will keep nintendo afloat. Surely.

I don't think you know what a strawman is

I know what it is, but since you dont seem to ill give you a little lesson . I say 3Ds is doing very well and its YoY sales are up. strawman tactic would be to say "well its not doing very we in the west so its selling bad and failing". when in fact it cant be failing if its YoY sales are up .

Word of advice, stay out of the stockmarket. Your ability to predict the future is very bad. No, thats not right. The death of the handheld is not the future, its the present.

I never said i wanted to enter the stock market . Still doesnt mean your not using strawman tactics to try downplay the point im making, and worse thing is when i pointed out to you thats what you where doing and explained how you didnt even deny it, instead you went on to another strawman tactic to try defeat my 2nd point -_- . How can the 3DS be failing if its YoY sales are going up? really?.

Down YOY everywhere but Japan, a small market that doesn't follow the trends of the rest of the world. Short term success in the hear and now is what the 3ds has (in Japan and Japan only). I again bring up the analogy of the cd player salesman in an Ipod age. Sales of cd players didn't just vanish over night. People in the world (except Japan) play games on phones, they don't have pocket space for handhelds anymore. If you think high Japanese sales are the end all be all and that nintendo handhelds will be around forever, thats your business. And the wiiU is in an even worse spot arguably.

There's no grand conspiracy to boot Nintendo from the market. However, there are some big publishing companies that surely disapprove of Nintendo' unpredictability and heterodoxy, and would rather see such a company removed from the equation.

As for fans who want to see Nintendo fail, be careful what you wish for.

Again strawman tactics from you, id have a better discussion with you bit that very first statement ruins everything else you have to say.

If 3DS Sales are up YoY how can it be failing really??. how many times do i have to keep saying that?. Dont you remember for such a market that doesnt matter its the only reason we have a PSVita now since its Japan that saved the PSP

Factual statements = strawman? Its failing because its sales are down in the US and Europe despite being cheaper and there is no reason to believe it will get better (it will most likely get worse save for spikes from Pokemon).
