A lot of interesting theories, and with all this talk and philosophy about the topic i think is fair to say that not the whole industry wants nintendo to fail; so my next question is this:

who are the people or the rival company with the most interest in nintendo to fail? and why?

People too cheap to buy more than 1 console, so they can play Nintendo games on a Non-nintendo console.

ok, but what do you think about rival companys? what  company do you think is the most interest in nintendo to fail? and why?

Lets look at the facts:

1.WiiU is a dud- it sells far less than the ps3 ever did and the ps3 was twice the price. Nintendo succeeded last gen by using motion controls. The success of motion gaming is the only thing that separated the gamecube and wii, and this time around nintendo couldn't capture that magic. Mostly because the gamepad is a poor verson of real tablets and casuals have moved on to those. People say its about games but nintendo already has its biggest game (2d mario) on the system. The reason wii was a success was because of wii sports/fit, not because of mario kart or 2d mario. Those series saw boosts because they were the most natural jumping off point from the wii series on a game starved system. Its why games like zelda, 3d mario, smash bros and others didn't sell much more than their n64 or gamecube iterations.

2. The 3ds is failing outside Japan. It sold less this year in the west than last year, and last year it wasn't available all year and cost far more. Dedicated handhelds are dead and the 3ds can only use pokemon and mario kart to stave that off for so long.

Basically nintendo is in big trouble because the handheld market will be gone soon and they are struggling to compete with MS and sony in the multimedia world. Casuals have moved on and core gamers are waiting for ps4/nextbox- which leaves nintendo with hardcore nintendo fans AKA the gamecube audience. Given that nintendo hasn't had third party support since super nintendo and that ms and sony will be showered with it its safe to say nintendo is in between a rock and a hard place.

OP - You're entire premiss is flimsy, but since core gamers are immature children, it is quite ironic that they are apparently acting up as much as you perceive.

Regardless, you're ignoring the most important factor in that Blesinksi interview (possibly due to your intentions for race baiting Nintendo fans, i dk), the entire industry is in decline/revolution right now.

ANYONE releasing a super powerful device in this market is either doomed to failure, or facing a steep uphill battle. This is exactly why this happened last week - http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=155703&page=1#, and also why the 3DS has received more support, developer wise and customer wise, in Japan.

my intention with this thread is to get a more deep understanding of the topic, knowing what are the reasons or what all of you think is the answer or are the answers to  the questions made in the topic.

It's interesting to me how any downturn Nintendo has is always blamed on someone else. Third-party publishers and developers, other gaming manufacturers, even the consumers themselves. It would seem that Nintendo has zero control over their own destiny.

Seriously, what is up with this whole victim's role mentality? Why can't it have to do with Nintendo making poor decisions, or other companies making the best decisions for their own businesses, which what they are supposed to do? Or how about this one, how about some consumers not buying Nintendo consoles simply because they like something else more?

Nintendo is a big boy. It doesn't need excuses. This isn't an environment where others are obligated to keep Nintendo going just because. It's not an environment where developers and publishers are willing to take less profits just to make Nintendo systems popular. If they think their resources are best spent elsewhere then that is their prerogative.

So, really, quit it. The Wii U is going to be fine. It's in a niche role because that is where Nintendo has placed it. You can no more blame Microsoft or Sony for trying to take market share than you can Apple or Galaxy. Everyone is trying to get ahead, including Nintendo.

Nintendo is following their own beat and that's perfectly fine. However, you can't hold it against anyone else if they prefer a different set of drums entirely.

No-one ever suggested that Nintendo isn't at fault for a lot of the stuff that happens to it, however the belief that the industry and the media are perfectly fair towards Nintendo is equally laughable

Nintendo destroyed itself with the wii. End of story.

There is no conspiracy to kill nintendo, nintendo is doing a great job of doing that themselves lol.

You, now, you need to take care.

Im pretty sure 3DS sales has sold more in 2012 then it did in 2011. You cant just exclude Japan -_-

I can because its an increasingly irrelevant market. You can either make a dedicated handheld to sell well in Japan and Japan only, or you can make something the entire rest of the world wants.

Sony attempted to kill Nintendo with the creation of PlayStation and they survived and became the best selling console this last gen... They will rise and fall like any company but in the end, they will survive.

Ok then while where at it lets exclude Japan sales from both 360 and PS3. What type type of lead does X360 have over Ps3 then? id imagine it must be pretty big . Like i said if a console is selling well it doesnt matter where its selling the most. Fact is 3Ds is almost at 30 million units sold in only like 2 years that is a success no matter how you cut it.

The success of the xbox really just proves my point about Japan, so thanks for bringing it up. And again lookng at the 3ds sales (shrinking in the west) and seeing success would be like looking at CD players after the ipod released and thinking "well these are still doing pretty well!"
