Its just silly how everybody wants Nintendo to fail. They want Nintendo to go third party and why? simple: to play their awesome games on their system.

I'm sure that the Wii U will do fine in the end. And even if they only sell like 50 mil this gen it would be a great success. Guess what Nintendo didn't predict the Wii to sell THAT much.

on topic: what third party wants Nintendo to go out off the HW business? other than 1 guy saying what HE THINKS doesn't mean everybody thinks that way, too. The other party (Sony/Ms fans) are only fanboys.... what else to say?

Nintendo is fine

Its Nintendo's world and everyone in the title just lives in it!!!!

The success or failure of a console is primarily dependent on the company that makes it. Blaming others is stupid. Software companies go where they can make money. If that is (or isn't Nintendo), then that speaks to what value Nintendo is creating for the developers.

You'll notice that the DS and 3DS never have had the problems that they've had with the consoles, and there's a good reason for that. Take a guess on what the reasons are.

If I was any third party company, I would be afraid of Nintendo going software-only. Then I'd have to compete against their software on ALL platforms.

And third parties think competing against Nintendo on Nintendo's own hardware is bad enough...

i personally would love for them to be software only. It wouldn't be the death of them, and their fans can still enjoy their games.

What Nintendo is going through is done by them by themselves.

That said they will be fine..no one wants them to go out of business or any such nonsense...well outside of some nutty fanboys, in which case there are people who wish for that for all three companies

Everyone saying Nintendo going software only is being dillusional. Nintendo said they would never do that. If they don't make a console, they don't make games.

If the Wii U fails and they no longer make new home consoles they will just make handhelds and games ONLY on handhelds.

There will be no Nintendo games on a ps5, or anything in the future. You would just have your mario, zelda, ect restricted to handheld games only and no more console experiences.

HAHA... sorry but that is impossible... even thinking about Nintendo going 3rd party makes me laugh...let me guess they are comparing Sega with Nintendo again just because they are both video game company's? Nintendo has a better financial situation then Sega...i mean Nintendo is worth over $7 billion now why would they go 3rd party? plus if Nintendo ever goes down, they are taking their franchises with them.

i will always buy a nintendo system, because of there games and not for any other reason. also i love the gamepad alot :)
my 2 new systems will be or already is to a point : wiiu and as of right now (ps4), could change to next xbox if its on par with the ps4 ( cause i need my halo fix ).
