Forums - Microsoft - What does Microsoft need to show at their reveal to interest you?

Important, Will likely not buy if it does not have the following.

Free XBL
Involve Kinect 2 integration as little to none as possible, and it better be optional
Cheaper version of Nextbox with no kinect 2 in the box

Not Important but would be nice

Comparable specs to PS4
New AAA IP Exclusive

Will buy 100% IF (but highly unlikely checklist) (also if XBL is not free it reduces chances by 50%, depends how good game is)

GTA EXCLUSIVE
AAA FF EXCLUSIVE
ELDER SCROLLS EXCLUSIVE

You wont be seeing a new Halo or Gears at launch, so hopefully a few new ips, Forza 5 maybe a Fable, MW4 trailer and then shitload of Kinect and App crap.

Backwards compatibly, Blu-ray drive, Decent price...Also if the psn stays free and xbox continues to charge that will hurt them.....There is no year head start for xbox this time, they are going to have to do something special to make people want the Xbox more.... I just can't see it happening.

If MS has a more powerful console and doesn't come with always online I will go Xbox this gen.

I think you are exaggerating M$'s issues here

I think to get most people happy, they need to show of some footage of Halo, more of a tech demo than anything else I suspect, show some new interesting games from their other secret first party studios and I suspect they will have some nice 3rd party stuff there too

To get me excited, they need something like Lost Odyssey 2, as well as other really interesting exclusive games. Given that it is strongly rumoured to come with Kinect 2, they need to show it is actually useful for "proper" games and not focus on party games too much. Having said all of that, there is almost nothing they can do to get ME to buy it day 1, I am too much of a PS fanboy for that

When it comes down to it... The only thing xbox has in terms of exclusives is, well.. for me.. Nothing. I don't care about FPS. There's minimal interest for me in them. I don't care for gears of war either. I'd rather play uncharted 2 or 3..

Everything else boils down to multiplats.. which can be gotten on PS4... Besides.. All the RRoD last year. Every 360 console I'd seen in person had gotten it at some point. Not including the new systems, but, c'mon...

We've heard stories that microsoft was surprised by the announcing of the PS4. Who's to say there wont be hardware problems again? I'd rather not take my chances, and go with a console I know produces more than FPS and multiplatform games.

Not interested in forza, or racing games. Got Gran Turismo 5.. First gran turismo I've even owned, and I don't even play it anymore. Not jumping on the hype train anymore. Just give me my fighters that are produced by Sega and Namco... Capcom has disappointed me too. I'll also take my sony exclusives...

I guess what MS could do is simply make some 90's style exclusives... like Knack and other types of games that you play to enjoy, not so much try to emulate a blockbuster action movie.

Then, online has to be free, that D-Pad must be the morphing type they produced a while back, and I'll think about it. I've already have a Vita, and I want more use out of it. Microsoft will have to fight hard for my dollar.

Some of their new games from their new studios

I dont think they can do anything any longer to get me to keep with them next gen. It would take a huge Sony mistake for that to happen.

How could they from the positive? The same thing they did with the 360. Give me loads of exclusive JRPG's and a cheaper console. Though, having fallen for that trap once before, im unsure wether i would believe the cookie wouldnt crumble this time. So, on top of that they would have to show me several interesting exclusives that arent Halo, Gears or generally shooters or Forza.

Decent price and backwards compatibility.

Halo 5 is all they need. They can do without the espn bullshit and family crap.
