Forums - Microsoft - What does Microsoft need to show at their reveal to interest you?

A focus on games. It's kinda sad that this is even a possibility but if they seem to treat games as a secondary feature of the system then I'm out until it's dirt cheap with lots of exclusives.

If they truly feel excited about the games (even if the games look like crap), then I'll buy it as soon as I have the resources. I'm a gamer.

Kinect somehow put to good use in a hardcore title, and at least three new first party titles in three new genres, one of which will have to be a platformer. BC wouldn't hurt either, but I don't think it's as important for Xbox as it is for the PS4.

Forgot about backwards compatibility. That could be one thing they have over Sony. That would be great if it played xbox and xbox 360 games.

Backwards compatibility, really cheap, and fresh, new IPs. Also I want Kinect 2 to be a separate peripheral. I don't want to pay for something I'll never use.

Games, Games, and more Games.

will online play be free on PS4? I don't think so dude

edit:

Xbox has a lot more IPs than just gears and halo dude. Forza smashes Gran Turismo.

Xbox Live has some awesome games like Trials HD also.

LOL

All about the games. None of this Kinect nonsense for me so if that's their focus they will continue to be 100% irrelevant to me. A balanced diet and that means diversifying away from shooters - be it first or third. Diversification in the general sense would be nice. I'm already sold on the PS4, and the Wii U has Nintendo's IPs (although it is a sad system in my eyes), but what does MS have? I need more than Halo to drop bones on an Xbox since it seems likely that the PS4 will be efficient and powerful (ie won't get crappy ports from third parties, so first parties will matter now more than ever). Finalmente, online. I'm not paying for that crap. Either step it up or make it free. At least Sony flashed me before I paid for dinner.

I couldn't care less about multimedia and BC so either way their inclusion or exclusion does not matter to me.

I'd probably never buy one, but the great majority of my friends here in the US and in my home country own Xbox systems and I get the feeling they will stick with it, unless MS REALLY messes up in the next round. With that said MS would have to show me that they are serious about the core gamer for me to even consider their system.

But realistically speaking I doubt I'd ever buy one lol So I should state that was 'hypothetical'. Under what condition I would buy an Xbox 'if' I was interested. PS3 + PSV + PS4 + 3DS + Wii U  = a lot of gaming as is.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

some few new IP's

Games! Not another tired halo release. I want 4 or 5 new IP's from them at launch to show they plan to release lots of games and not focus on Netflix and Kincept. Then like the last 2 il buy at launch
