Forums - Nintendo - Is the Wii U Nintendo’s Dreamcast?

No God of War or Gears of War on Wii U? Doomed.

I wouldn't label any of those games as "examples of how far the industry has come".

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

I was actually really worried about the Wii U being around Dreamcast levels. But now, Sony has announced the PS4 and I'm feeling much better.

That's were I stopped reading. Why should I take the author seriously when he can't even seperate multiplats from exclusives on other consoles.

"But what if the company released a new Gamepad that was specifically designed for players 2-4? This new gamepad could ditch “luxury” features such as motion controls and NFC capabilities as a cost saving measure and would allow for some truly innovative multiplayer fun."

Something like this?

Yea that first game.... Tomb Raider shouldn't have even made that mediocre list.

It will be their Gamecube if things don't change this year.

The Dreamcast didn't have Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and Zelda to fall back on, so no.

And I remember a lot of these articles about the PS3 and 3DS in their early days, and look how those turned out.

Still made money during GC days.  Mainly thanks to their hand helds but the GC made them money since day 1.

The WiiU has better 3rd party support than the Dreamcast, PSV or the Wii at the same point in lifetimes.

DDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *Takes breath* OOOOOOOOOOMMMED!

What a strange article. First of all, Dreamcast is never mentioned, except in the title. Second: why bemoans everyone the loss of Rayman as exclusive title. The delay of 6 months is bad, the ports are good for gamers. God of War not on WiiU - what a surprise. In difference to the author I think more multiplats would be a good thing. I feel the irony that he says, Nintendo shouldn't make more classic games, but instead something that can only be done with the gamepad - and directly under that I see screenshots of Nintendoland. he says the Wiimote is bad for local multiplayer - why?
Yes, a strange article.
