I have ZombiU codblops2 trine2 ... I am buying ac3 and batmanac soon. Loooooove ZombiU.
I bought Darksiders (great, helps me to wait for Zelda), Sonic Racing (really good mario Kart replacement, but I would prefer a Sonic R), ZombiU (yeah), Tank!Tank!Tank! (fun multiplayer title), Rabbidsland (I'm underwhelmed, had hoped on more crazyness on a Rabbids-title) and bought yesterday Batman (amazing stuff). Why I didn't bought the others? Well, I think I already bought enough. Generally not that much into COD or similar games. Mass Effect should be a trilogy. Tekken might be good, but I'm only halfway into fighters and prefer pretty much SSB and probably a DOA-title, Scribblenauts and Skylanders make me feel like I'm not target-group.
So far I would have to say Trine 2, it's simple but really enjoyable. Have been underwhelmed with BLOPS.
I'll probably get Arkham next and then I think NFS after that. Not sure if Monster Hunter is my thing and I know my brother will probably get it anyway.
For the pole I chose ZombiU, because I think that games is excellent and very underrated.
As for other games I want, I really want to play Ninja Gaiden, because I loved NG Black, but I live in a country where it's not easy to get games, hard copies or digitally. I never liked the Mass Effect games - found them really boring. Tekken, will take up too much of my already limited gaming time, cause I would want to get really good at it and relive my glory days as the local Tekken champ.
I might get Darksiders II as that game looks really good. The other 3rd party games I'm not really interested in.
In the near future I'm looking to get Monster Hunter 3 and Lego City.

if you don't like fighters all that much you won't like dead or alive since it is a sirus fighter like tekken or virtua fighter.

i found the mass effect games really boring too. i should give it another chance though someday.
Darksiders II is proving how useful touch on the WiiU is. Theres so many magic upgrades, i cant imagine having to pause each time. I can see the pc as the only other logical option.

At this point, I only have two retail Wii U games: Nintendo Land, which came bundled, and ZombiU, which is third party. I'd have gotten more, but Steam sales and the 3DS have conspired against the platform.
I have little desire to pick up NSMBU, so my next game will likely either be one of the March/Spring releases like Monster Hunter or Pikmin, or a 3rd party launch game.
Originally, I was considering getting Darksiders 2. After all, it seemed to be one of the 3rd party games that took the best advantage of the Wii U without taking advantage of Nintendo fans. *cough*Mass Effect 3*cough* But now that THQ is dead, it'd feel like my money is going to waste, since no living publisher would look at my purchase and feel justified for supporting the platform.
CoD is not a series I'm fond of, AC3 is apparently a glitchy mess, and I've also heard bad things about Armored Edition. So I guess that makes the remaining launch titles I'm interested in Scribblenauts Unlimited, which I think is overpriced, Ninja Gaiden 3, which has fairly low review scores, and thus worries me, and eSop titles.
Thing is, I don't feel like I'm being unfair to 3rd parties. I've invested more cash into 3rd party games for the Wii U than 1st party games, especially when you count my Trine 2 purchase. The 3rd party offerings just don't seem that great yet.

I highly recommend them. Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden II, heck even Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword. You can't go wrong :) The NES games are really good too, but very demanding. |
Well thanks for the recommendation, i may pick it up sooner than i was originally planning. See if i can find any good deals, as all my money is going towards MH3 Ultimate WIiU & 3DS editions next month. :D

The other launch titles don't look good enough to pay money for them (by "look" I don't only mean graphics). My first eShop purchase will be Nano Assault Neo. I am not entirely sure if I should double-dip on Mighty Switch Force. There's new content, but not necessarily €10 worth of it. All other games are meh. It's not our loyalty that is hurting third party sales, it's third parties. |
This is probably unnecessary to say, but don't get Trine 2. I like it, and it has penty of content, and would recommend it in general, but it seems to be the sort of platformer you'd hate. Rewarding reflexes and level design are sacrificed for open ended puzzle solving, including a level up tree and some admittedly overpowered combos. It honestly reminds me as being similar to Scribblenauts more than a conventional 2D platformer.
Just while I was thinking about it and you.
I have Darksiders II and it's swell!
None of the others interest me, save for Scribblenauts, which isn't out here in Europe yet. Though I probably won't be getting it, as I think it's a bit pricey for what it is. Plus, my backlog is humongous. Need to get around to finishing (and starting) some other games first!
Next 3rd party WiiU game I'll be getting is Lego City. I think.
