Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Pick 10 Wii U games from Nintendo

Metroid
Bayonetta

That's all I want right now

Around the Network

1. U Mother
2. Waifu Race
3. X
4. Zelda
5. Metroid
6. Geist
7. Fatal Frame
8. Eternal Darkness
9. Donkey Kong
10. Mario Kart

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

In no particular order:

Earthbound/Mother
X
Metroid
Pilot Wings
F Zero
expanded Wii Sports U
Zangeki no Reginleiv Wii U sequel
Pikmin
Wonderful 101
New action IP with vehicular combat featuring asymmetric co-op and VS. with wiimotes and the Wii U gamepad.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

the original trolls

Wii FC: 4810 9420 3131 7558
MHTri: name=BOo BoO/ID=BZBLEX/region=US

mini-games on consoles, cinematic games on handhelds, what's next? GameBoy IMAX?

I threw in some third party collaborations.

1. Super Mario EAD Tokyo
2. Nintendo x Final Fantasy x Dragon Quest RPG (if you're gonna do these collabs, go biiiig)
3. F-Zero U
4. Star Fox U
5. Donkey Kong Country U w/David Wise music
6. Mario Kart U
7. Zelda w/a dark storyline + well paced gameplay
8. Soul Calibur U w/Zelda characters
9. Wave Race U
10. Bayonetta 2

New IP: Kick-ass 2-player modern action game in the vein of Contra/Super C but modernized. I like the idea of vehicular combat from above. +1 for that. I want a co-op/versus game I can play with friends.

Without order of importance

1. Zelda with style of the tech demo or Ocarina style
2. 1080° Snowboarding

4. Star Fox
5. Pikmin
6. Mario Kart
7. Super Tennis
8. New IP (something wrpg like)
9. " (some Ego-Shooter)
10. not sure what happened with Quintet and the rights for games like Terranigma or Illusion of Gaia but a game like that please.

When was the last time Nintendo made a new IP? Just wondering not trolling or anything cause I'm not sure.

2012: Dillon's Rolling Western, Freakyforms Deluxe, Pullblox/Fallblox.

Before that: Xenoblade Chronicles, Wii-series (Fit/Sport/Resort/Play), Disaster: Day of Crisis.

The old IPs sell usually better and are for that reason more well known, with the Wii-series being the exception.

Oh and Endless Ocean and Tokyo Crash Mobs.  With Tokyo Crash Mobs their last new IP was... I dunno... a week or two ago?  Electroplankton...  I think DIllon's Rolling Western was 1st party.

Dillon is from Vanpool but developed with Nintendo. And I think Vanpool didn't made something for different platforms than Nintendo in ages.

Tokyo Crash Mob is also Nintendo? That oushes the time Nintendo made last a new IP to 2013.

2011 - The Last Story / Wii (dev by Mistwalker, IP owned by Nintendo)

2011 - Pandora's Tower / Wii (dev by Ganabarion and Nintendo, IP owned by Nintendo)

2011 - Steel Diver / 3DS (EAD 5)

2011 - Pushmo / 3DS eShop (Intelligent Systems)

2011 - The Denpa men / 3DS eShop

2012 - Dillon's Rolling Western / 3DS eShop (EAD 3 "Zelda team")

2012 - Harmoknight / 3DS (dev by Game Freak, IP owned by Nintendo)

2013 - The Wonderful 101 / Wii U (dev by Platinum, IP owned by Nintendo)

Denpa Men is from Nintendo? I knew it was from Genius Sonority, so reading in Wikipedia: "Genius Sonority began operations in July 2001 for the original purpose of developing Pokémon games for home consoles and was officially incorporated in June 2002, with funding provided by Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi’s Q Fund, a cash reserve used for Nintendo game company start-ups. Current shareholders of the company include Yamana Satoru, Nintendo, and The Pokémon Company." OK, it's basically Nintendo.

Well, and Denpa Men 2 is out in Japan and may come to the West - I like that.

Also I didn't knew that Nintendo owns the W101-IP. That's probably bad for fans of other platforms, as this will never come over.

And people say that Nintendo makes nothing new, regarding IP's.
