Way to treat your developers and consumers, Ubi. You won't be getting any of my money after this farce. The game will flop, and deservedly so.

The game will sell way better than it would have as an exclusive. The WiiU version might sell worse because of people's "outrage" but it won't affect the other versions.

It's going up against GTAV on consoles whose owners don't like cartoon platformers as well as throwing Wii U sales out the window, instead of releasing in an empty timeslot on a console starved for games, with exclusivity on its side. I doubt it will sell "way more" than if it was exclusive, and it certainly won't sell "way more" than it would have if the Wii U one was launched now and then PS360 later.

Sadly, the game was doomed to flop from the beginning, look at Origins.

They like Rayman more than Nintendo gamers do...If you don't believe me, just look at Rol's wall. All they need to do is not release it the same week as GTA and they will be fine. It will have the holidays to sell, which is very good.

You doubt that it will sell way more on 3 consoles than on 1 that doesn't even have a userbase of 3m? Like I said before, it will at least triple its sales for Ubisoft.

Origins sold 1.5m+ combined. I'd say that's pretty good for a probably low-budget game. ~1.3m of its sales came from PS3/360 (Wii: 420k, with a much larger userbase than WiiU has), so they clearly don't want to lose that.

I'm glad to see those Origins numbers are higher than I expected based on when I last checked, (I was disappointed in its sales, amazing game that deserved better) but come on, 1.5m for a mainstream 90+ rated game from a known franchise across Wii, PS3, and 360 isn't exactly a hit.

I very much doubt it will triple what its sales might have been. Wii U sales will be gutted now, and the number gained from PS3/360 won't be enough to triple what it could have been as an exclusive (people love to buy games because they're exclusive) opening in an all but uncontested market at the start of a console's lifespan. (PS3/360 are nearing the end of their cycle) In a holiday season likely to be dominated by the Xbox 720 and PS4 launches, and the likes of Battlefield 4 an Modern Warfare 4, Legends is going to be crushed.

For Wii U this game was always going to be filler while waiting for other games mainly inhouse titles.

Now Ubisoft has effectively signed its death sentence as the timeframe they have announced will be when the big hitters for 2013 will be released so the title will be forgotton.

From a Nintendo perspective I am not suprised as over the last generation Ubisoft always treated Nintendo as a way to create cheap crap games and fundraise for big projects on PS3/360

This is a blatant lie. Was Ghost Recon and AC3 delayed on other platforms to release simultaneously on Wii U? There is no other logical explanation as to why it was delayed 7 months after it was finished than one of the companies (Sony or Microsoft) bribing them to kill the game at a later date.

They're not going to delay the money making versions a few weeks only because a new console is coming out...come on. They would have lost sales that way, not gained them.

But delaying a finished game 7 months to release along other big name titles (New Pokemon, GTA V, possible new HD Mario, Wind Waker HD, The Last of US) gives them more sales right? They NEVER delay games to release simultaneously. Its a blatant lie and something is definately happening behind the scenes.

Stupid move from them. They could've sold a lot of copies of this because the majority bought the WiiU for this game, and you give us 7 more months?? Way to fuck with us, but we will fuck you. No more games bought from you.

I read somewhere that it's Microsoft fault to delay because of some stupid policy the made about if going multiplatform it can't be released early on other platforms if not xbox, what's true about this????

You treat your consumers like garbage and we, the Nintendo fans, are pissed off by your statement.

What makes you believe in this ?

All the copies that are being cancelled right now. They could've even sold more because a ps3xb360 fan would have said "woow, love the game on wii u, hope i have it" releasing on Wii U is a way of marketing as well and pretty great imo because sony/microsoft fans always try to know everything about Nintendo, again wrong, awful and stupid move

i agree with everything but your first sentence, come on people, how much preorders did the game really have? Considering i NEVER saw it on the preorder charts im going to say not many. still a dick move

I understand why they are doing this - they want to minimize advertising cost on a game launch. Launch all 3-4 platforms (Not even sure if it's on the old'Wii now.) makes since from a business stand point. They want to minimize advertising cost, sell as many as possible games, and keep as many people in their company employed as possible.

Still, I feel really bad for the developers. It's awful to give up so much and work so hard, when it doesn't seem worth it.

Lastly, I would be FURIOUS if I was Nintendo - smoke coming out of my nose mad. This will hurt WiiU sales. But what are they going to do? Ubisoft is the biggest most successful 3rd party maker out there. They need Ubisoft's support.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Requests: Rayman Legends (WiiU) added 1,089 pre-orders for a total of 22,385 (in the US)

And people seriously think it was going to do well...

I'm not sure about that. Late ports are late ports, and sell like late ports.

This game will be a late port in September.

Not if it comes out at the same time for every system

Think about Duke Nukem Forever or how good The Last Guardian will sell if it releases finally. The game was already hyped, but there is a point at which it breaks down.

exactly, and that is the numbers for US the biggest market for this game right now. I get that those people who actually preordered are pissed, but dont act like its a whole nation and the entire Wii U user base, its barely a fraction
