You doubt that it will sell way more on 3 consoles than on 1 that doesn't even have a userbase of 3m? Like I said before, it will at least triple its sales for Ubisoft. Origins sold 1.5m+ combined. I'd say that's pretty good for a probably low-budget game. ~1.3m of its sales came from PS3/360 (Wii: 420k, with a much larger userbase than WiiU has), so they clearly don't want to lose that. |
I'm glad to see those Origins numbers are higher than I expected based on when I last checked, (I was disappointed in its sales, amazing game that deserved better) but come on, 1.5m for a mainstream 90+ rated game from a known franchise across Wii, PS3, and 360 isn't exactly a hit.
I very much doubt it will triple what its sales might have been. Wii U sales will be gutted now, and the number gained from PS3/360 won't be enough to triple what it could have been as an exclusive (people love to buy games because they're exclusive) opening in an all but uncontested market at the start of a console's lifespan. (PS3/360 are nearing the end of their cycle) In a holiday season likely to be dominated by the Xbox 720 and PS4 launches, and the likes of Battlefield 4 an Modern Warfare 4, Legends is going to be crushed.
