I don't think this is true for either of these series. Did you mean uDraw instead?

Probably a better chance of seeing the next Uncharted on the Wii U. =)

That happened with stuff on the Dreamcast actually. People waiting it out, some showed up, and then they cheered... and Sega became irrelevant.

That's the difference between fanboys and gamers. I'm not a Sony fan, but I own a PS3. My roomate had Valkyria Chronicles. I really liked the game...gasp. I actually bought the system instead of bitching about the games exclusivity. I bought my PS2 because of after playing Suikoden III and FFX. I bought my Xbox after playing KOTOR, etc. etc.

There's a term for people who wouldnt buy a game because it isnt exclusive but I'm not gonna use that word, pretty sure you can figure out what I'm trying to say ;p. |
Being multiplat didn't kill their sales, but it didn't do much good either. Goldeneye 007, Just Dance, Epic Mickey 2, No More Heroes, and de Blob 2 did better on Wii than PS3/360. Point being, going onto the HD twins isn't necessarily a "get out of jail free" card. And I personally don't believe dissatisfaction with the original was the primary cause of those sequels flopping; if it was, the originals wouldn't have had legs due to bad word of mouth. It was certainly a factor for some people, but it was one reason among many. (Others being markets moving on, lack of exclusivity)
A lot of people are attracted to exclusives because they're fanboys who likes to brag about that kind of thing. Others want to see a game that's tailored to make the best of their console rather than just a "one size fits all" port. Like it or not, a lot of people will buy or not buy based on exclusivity.
Excuse me for not reading all of the posts, but I'll just add my two cents:
All Nintendo has to do is make their games (whether its coming from a 3rd part, 2nd party or 1st party platforms) for its system shine. Forget about what the critics say and focus on making their games good. People are fickle and most will jump wagon once they see a winner.
here is a good most from the mod evillore at neogaf which the reason ig to bashed for.
You're being extremely generous to the notion that the Bayonetta 2 contract has no clause preventing SEGA from porting the game, that this is something possibly overlooked or allowed by Nintendo, and seemingly implying it would be unlikely that Nintendo would pursue such a clause. And that just sounds a bit silly to me, putting far to much value on the fact SEGA legally owns the "Bayonetta" IP, as if this gives them total authority over whatever is happening with Bayonetta 2.
It's entirely possible that there's no clause in the contract stopping SEGA from issuing a Bayonetta 2 port to other platforms, but it's also possible that there is. It's not a simple as someone owning the IP and thus controlling all the games. Whoever is in ownership of the content within Bayonetta 2 plays a role in deciding where the software goes. Look at something like Rare's Goldeneye for where multi-publisher IP ownership becomes messy and isn't as simple as one dude calling all the shots.
Don't you tired? Nintendo never allows it. Sega as "advisor" is nothing in B2 project. Look at Fatal Frame IP, for example, which been fully owned by Tecmo Koei at that time. Nintendo funded FF4, published it, produced (you can find Satoru Iwata as executive producer at the credits, like in other Nintendo 1st party games), and it remained exclusive. Even more - Nintendo decided not to release the game in West and Tecmo Koei simply can't do anything in this situation (no HD port, no localization, NOTHING. They just said like Kamiya: "Ask Nintendo") because even if they're IP owners, games produced and funded by Nintendo, belongs to Nintendo forever. The End of the Story. All talk about possibilities of B2 land on other systems - a load of shit.
Also, a lot more situations like this (Nintendo helping other companies to develop exlusive games for WiiU - New IP's, sequls and crossovers like Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem) coming in the near future, as Iwata said... http://siliconera.com/2013/01/30/developing-consoles-games-is-expensive-heres-what-nintendo-plan-to-do-about-it
And please, don't compare Nintendo to Microsoft w/ME1 or NG2. Nintendo not Microsoft. All games Nintendo funded+produced+published stayed as exclusives.
sega's own the ip, how can nintendo never allow it, show me the contract, nobody can say its fact.
