Series that have failed when going multiplat. after being briefly Ninty exclusive

Going multiplatform wasnt the reason why these games did bad lol.

They did fail on non-Nintendo consoles though.

And exclusivity can be a big draw for people in these days where everything is multiplat.

Yeah? They were also released on the system the original came out as well. Being Multiplatform didnt kill the sales, people didnt like the original games so they didnt follow up with the sequel and instead looked forward to other games when they came around.

Exclusivity a big draw for people? How can you call yourself a gamer if that is what draws you to buying a game? Exclusivity draws people to buying the certain system, shouldnt affect the game purchase itself. If you intended to continue on a series that you started - you will continue getting successor titles no matter what system they are or whether they are exclusive/multiplatform.

There's a term for people who wouldnt buy a game because it isnt exclusive but I'm not gonna use that word, pretty sure you can figure out what I'm trying to say ;p.

Being multiplat didn't kill their sales, but it didn't do much good either. Goldeneye 007, Just Dance, Epic Mickey 2, No More Heroes, and de Blob 2 did better on Wii than PS3/360. Point being, going onto the HD twins isn't necessarily a "get out of jail free" card. And I personally don't believe dissatisfaction with the original was the primary cause of those sequels flopping; if it was, the originals wouldn't have had legs due to bad word of mouth. It was certainly a factor for some people, but it was one reason among many. (Others being markets moving on, lack of exclusivity)

A lot of people are attracted to exclusives because they're fanboys who likes to brag about that kind of thing. Others want to see a game that's tailored to make the best of their console rather than just a "one size fits all" port. Like it or not, a lot of people will buy or not buy based on exclusivity.
