Nice to see some healthy profits from Nintendo.
3DS doing way better then I expected.
It's just that simple.

Good news, Japan needs to get back up in the saddle and keep their businesses afloat. The consumer electronics sector in particular!

Is this sold or shipped? If sold DS is slightly overtracked and the others undertracked. If shipped DS is strongly overtracked and probably 3DS undertracked (the discrepancy is too big).
Conegamer said: Wii U also around correct, maybe 100-150k undertracked |
If anything, it is probably overtracked. Through the end of December, Japan is about 6k over Media Create, that's nothing substantial. UK is 17.5k overtracked according to Chart-Track. France is 10.5k undertracked. USA is overtracked about 43k. So between those 4 it is overtracked by 56k. It's very unlikely that another 156-206k Wii U's are unaccounted for in the rest of the world. Especially when those four markets account for over three quarters of the sales.

These aren't really healthy profits. The profit comes from their foreign assets now being worth more due to the depreciation of the yen. Despite this they had to revise their fiscal year operating income from a profit to a loss.

Shipped... DS is a lot overtracked by years... VGC never adjusted that.
3DS seems undertracked.

So 3DS: 29.84-28.2= 1.64 in stock |
No, no, thats for Q3. End of Q3 VGChartz has 3DS 27,243,664 sold according to VGChartz:

Thats 29.84-27.24 = 2.6 million devices stuck in channel. Can that really that big?

Correct, the channel is likely stuffed from the holiday, there are global reports of massive stock. High shipments do not equal high sellthrough, especially with such a rapid drop in retail sales.
well, I just sold my shares, it's too risky at this point. I can see Nintendo picking up in the future, but at this juncture there are better investment opportunities.

Thanks for the clarification, if I had read on before posting I would have seen the answer already.
