I'll admit that I've never played Wind Waker before, but the Wii U version (in my opinion) looks a lot more appealing. It must be... dat lighting. I know that it wont look EXACTLY like its screenshots when it actually comes out, but it's looking pretty nifty.

Off-topic, you guys suppose Grezzo (the studio that did OOT3D) are developing this remake? I'm thinking they probably are, unless it's known they're working on something else? (I'm too lazy to go check).

I think in the screens the lighting was pumped up a bit too much. I am hoping in motion the game looks better like the original early screens looked bad but once in motion... majestic.

While they seem to overuse the bloom effect, the HD version looks better. Also, like many said, this remake has another artstyle than WW original, so maybe that "clay" models are the intention.
