No, for sure no, but I'm assuming if they release a 2D Metroid on the U they would also have a 3D one. Or are you saying just a 2D one for the U?

Hehe, I know. But look at NSMB. 2009, 2012, 2012. It's yeouch. Plus SMG. Faut faire attention, too much is too much.

The thing with 2D/3D is that it's a huge IP balancing act. I'm all for it, but I love my 3D metroid too, and since this is Nintendo's first HD console, it should be done. Then again, look at DKCR, it worked out well so in the end one way or another I'm a happy fan. I loved Super Metroid but I also loved Metroid Prime so I'm happy either way.

Both Super Metroid and Metroid Prime are my favourites in the series. With Super Metroid taking the no. 1 spot.
I prefer the exploration in Super Metroid over the one in Metroid Prime. Among other things. Like the Speed Booster, and the way every single wall can hide a secret passage through the removal of block sprites. If they could make the first person Metroid nearly as exploration intensive as Super Metroid, then maybe it could take the higher spot.  But so far, they haven't managed to do it. 

There really wasn't that much groundbreaking info besides Wind Waker HD and the new SMT game. I mean we all figured a 3D Mario, Mario Kart, and Zelda were in development.

There's no need to worry it's getting a remake of Wind Waker, and a new Zelda it's in good hands.

Is the famicon promotion a rental? I think it is. That was the worst part of the direct. :(

I understood it that they said that if you own the game on your Wii and transfered it to your U, then you could get the game at the promotional 30c price anytime (even after the limited period).
