If you are not a Nintendo fan then i think the Nintendo Direct will be a Meh, it certainly is for me. Not sure why all the excitement to be honest, especially for yet another mario kart and a HD game. If this was Sony/Ms they would be getting a lot of flak to be honest.

Nintendo need to be working a lot harder on other users who are not Nintendo fans, and I dont think they are getting that yet. But they had better hurry up, because I am sure Sony/MS are sitting there thinking "wow, what an opportunity".

Okay, but they showed X, Wonderful 101 and Bayo, and revealed FE X Shin megami Tensei, so did those just not show up in your video?

They should have had someone who can speak english announce the specifics for this promotion. Now I have to wait for people who buy balloon fight to confirm or deny whether it is a demo. Super Metroid for 30 cents would be an instant purchase imo.

Nintendo has had surprises at practically all past E3s. The only exception I can recall is E3 2008, the year that they changed it from an entertainment expo to a business and media conference (it switched back most of the way in 2009).

Sometimes the surprises are relatively underwhelming. But having said that, those were in years where there wasn't a Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda, and new Pokemon generation launching by the end of the year on one of their platforms. Usually, Nintendo would keep those sorts of games "secret", for announcement at E3. For instance, Mario Kart Wii was announced at E3 2007 - there wasn't even a whisper that it was going to be announced prior to that.

We all knew these games would be in development, just as we knew that Mario Kart Wii would be in development. But what's different about this situation is that they announced it well before E3, when it's going to release more than a couple of months after E3. Nintendo's most successful E3s came when they announced games like these. Why spoil the surprise of them now?

They don't like them becuase they are exclusive.  You can bet if those were shown at sony or microsoft they would say those games are amazing.  My favorite thing this past year was when Bayonette 2 went ot Nintendo.  I just LOVED reading all the hateful comments from fans of that game being super pissed that Nintendo was making the game.  

Somehow a game they loved became a game they hated and they hated Nintendo for it.  If it weren't for nintendo there woudl be no bayonette 2 at all.  I twould not exist, yet they hate Nintnedo for getting the game.  Funny.

Bro, you're churning an old cauldron of manure there. The bayo hate thing is old and I found most Sony fans react pretty positively here to X (in the X project thread). Only a few have been completely ignorant this far, and it's been ok. I was just wondering what his opinion was on those games, since I'm still getting to know him.

I know its old, just saying fanboys are irrational.

Seriously everyone should get every system and just enjoy life.  No worries over exclusivity, just buy any game you want, and on any system your friends prefer.

Hell to look at how stupid fanboys are, just look at how pissed off some get when a game they were getting becomes multiplat.  Why should they get pissed that OTHERS get the chance to play a game?
