i wonder how much Nintendo paid CAPCOM to take MH away from Sony ??

I wonder how much Sony paid Capcom to take MH away from Ninendo (remember MH Tri was released for Wi).

I believe I read somewhere they did it because of low development costs compared to the PS3.

Don't think that's the only reason but I'm sure the portable versions were released on the PSP thanks thanks to its analog stick which the DS didn't have, I think that's a no-brainer.

Not to mention the home console versions of previous gens weren't as great sales wise. Maybe they just didn't want to risk it.

Yeah, I think the most deciding point for Capcom to put MH4 on 3DS was the performance of MH3G. It's their biggest franchise at the moment, they cannot get paid enough for bringing it to a platform they would lose sales on.

Glad there is a demo. Never played MH but it looks interesting. Also, is the online still gonna be free in NA?

Please my friend, Nintendo is not Microsoft. Never charged for MHTri on Wii that was not intended to pay off as it was, now they are not going to charge for this that more people is waiting for it.

It was a combination of poor Japanese performance for the PS3 and Sony's unwillingness to pay for it. Costs come into play because they would be higher on PS3 and they thought wouldn't be able to make up those costs (due to the poor sales at the start of the generation).

They still announced and then later scrapped an entire project to make MHTri. The PS3 version was announced for approx. a year before Tri was announced for Wii.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

I wonder if they'll have commercials featuring Ironbeard again.

So basically Risk vs Reward and Sony being a dumbass. Seriously pushing back MH isn't going to help.
