The original Xbox wasn't obscure. But my earliest memory of the Xbox was when Shenmue 2 was cancelled for the Dreamcast in the US and being released on the Xbox.

So I ordered a copy of Shenmue 2 from Europe. But I eventually got a Xbox and Shenmue 2 for that as well.

I have always paid close attention to gaming related news and tech so I knew about if from when it was first announced. One of my best friends had one, I never liked the original xbox to be honest, the 360 on the other hand, is a really good console.

That's hardly true. The PS2 is where all third party devs went.

The only advantage the XBox had over the other consoles was in the FPS genre. All other game genres were represented in the other consoles, with more diversity/variety.

WRPGs were better represented on the Xbox.

Actually, the original Xbox suffered from bad ports of most games since the PS2 was often the lead platform. Possibly later in the console's life they were better, but for the majority of it, they sucked. Once Xbox LIVE came out though, the features of some multiplatform games actually favored the Xbox. Even that took time, however.

Besides Halo 1&2, this is one of my favorite games on the xbox...

Some of my other favorites were Fable: TLC, Cel Damage, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Armed and Dangerous, LOTR: TT&ROTK, NBA Street V.3, and a few other.
