Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black, Rallisport Challenge 2, Project Gotham Racing 2, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Splinter Cell (definitive version), Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (definitive version), and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (definitive version)?

Nope, I've never heard a single thing about the original Xbox.

When I started high school, Xbox was shunned by all the guys in my grade. By the end of high school, many of those guys owned an Xbox and some even sold their PS2. It was all thanks to a certain franchise called Halo.

It makes me sad because the Dreamcast had so many amazing games and deserved to be a success, but far too many ignored it and played exclusivly on PS2. The Dreamcast had the best games the year before and the year after the PS2 released but people still ignored it. Sega was forced to drop the Dreamcast and hardware alltogether and the industry is poorer for it. As for Xbox, Halo is pure gold and it's too bad that some people never got a chance to experience it in it's begining.

I know what you mean, Sega was like the Xbox in the 90s. Like the original Xbox the Dreamcast had so much potential and really deserved better. I'll never forget the day they announced on IGN that the Dreamcast was being discontinued. Sega was like a game making machine, they had so many great games coming out like one after another and they were more innovative back then. The Dreamcast was really the last time I have ever been really hyped over a console. And you know what the gaming industry has never really been the same since.

Yeah the Dreamcast was awesome because of Crazy Taxi,Shenmue,Sonic, LOL. i can name you a gizillion consoles that had better games than Dreamcast. it's the fact that it got discontinued that makes you think it was great.

You clearly don't know what your talking about. The Dreamcast's library of games is as varied as it is classic. Everyone who had a Dreamcast probably had more fun the people with only a PS2 during it's first year. Here are some of the games that I played that I believe makes the the Dreamcast one of the best consoles of all time.

Sega Dreamcast is a legend. Get yourself one, they're cheap now.

Dreamcast rocked, especially for a console with a shelf life of 2 years. Skies of Arcadia and Soul Calibur will forever remain my favourite RPG and fighting game, respectively.

My cousins had one, it was probably the least appealing design wise of the 3 consoles last gen. So many mistakes with the XBOX, then Microsoft learned. The differences between the original XBOX and the 360 is like night and day.

Xbox 360 controller > Xbox controller S >>>>>>> original Xbox controller

Ps1 rocked Final fantasy 7, Tekken 3 will forever remain my favourite RPG and fighting games. See Dreamcast is not one of a kind.

Just because one console is great, doesn't mean one can't be equally great. Nobody is saying the Dreamcast is the only great system there ever was. You're making this into yet an other unnecessary console war argument. Your contribution here is childish at best.

You can play Tekken 3 on Dreamcast thanks to Bleem for Dreamcast as well as MGS and Gran Turismo. But you can't play Soul Calibur on PSX. FF7 is legendary but so are Skies of Arcadia and Grandia 2 and Phantasy Star Online etc. Nobody is saying the Playstation isn't great. But the Dreamcast was amazing and it got ignored until it died.

See my post above for an incomplete list of Dreamast's great games.

i'm not tryig to diss the Dreamcast. Some people bug me when they call it the best console ever and it was the last true gaming system. The Xbox,PS2,GameCube,PS3 All are great consoles and had much more great games than Dreamcast that's all i'm trying to say. i bet that if the VITA get's discontinued some people will call it the best gaming machine and how it had alot of great games. Nostalgia messes with peoples minds.
