No seriously. Sales will drop off now (not too hard) because early adopters got their system, and that's it. The others are waiting for teh gaemz to be released. I am also waiting eagerly until there is more than Super Mario to justify a purchase.
Amazon.de is already discounting the basic version so it's likely to see a 50€ off in some kind of special offer for the premium edition in the next year. 350€ is just too much for me to buy a wiiu. i've bought the wii and played like 2 games on it.

I WAS PHONING WITH SONY SOME DAYS AGO! They confirmed me that 154,4 Million is the final shipment number! If you want i can give u the number! In 2012 They just reshipped units they got back from retailers, because it was hard for them to sell it! This explains mixed PS2/ PS3 numbers!! This is official!! I do not know why vg.chartz denyes this! There are NOT MORE than 154,4 Million shipped! If, the sources would say so!

Sony expected to ship 3.5 million in FY2012 (ends March, 2013) but after March, 2012 Sony just give us combined data PS2 + PS3.

For now we knows Sony shipped over 155.1 million PS2.

he is talking crazy stuff. the news is from 6th of november 2012 and says that sony will stop production now. so they will probably stop with it end of 2012 or stopped it on 6th of november but not beginning of 2012....no clue why he is talking about reshipped models or whatever when the news says production stops now lol.

but that should really mean no new ps2 anymore in the future.
