I payed $20 bucks a month for Seganet on Dreamcast and it was worth every penny!!! I pay like 4 bucks a month for Xbox live and its really worth it! I mean who in the fuck can't afford 4 buck a month?

All the people that bitch about it.  Also there are plenty of offline games on the 360 its not like the 360 doesn't work without a gold account.

Microsoft only allows you to download games and play the non-online aspects of games without Gold. To deny gold is to deny the mass majority of the 360 experience.

My two cents, you're going to charge people to play online, you host games on servers. There isn't any active game on the 360 that uses dedicated servers (Unless Call of Duty 4's servers are still up).

Just because a game has a online mode doesn't mean that you have to play it to get the full experience of a game.  As a matter of fact games that relies heavily on online can only be enjoyed for a limited time because eventually the online mode will cease to exist.  A game that is only online like MAG and WoW will eventually become useless and be nothing more then a coaster.

Not true, every major publisher wants multiplayer in their games because it increases utility and prevents gamers from trading into their titles. The reason some games lose their luster is because they are not as popular and dont have the mainstream fun factor that others have. Microsoft knows this and Activision and EA have followed suit with the model this gen.

Looks like Beer had a rough time with the Xbox 360. He said his profile got hacked, Gold is too expensive, too many ads, he gets owned by 12 year olds online, the Kinect games he hasn't played really suck. If I were him, I'd just leave the Xbox brand alone.

This more or less sums up Marcus Beer, to me he comes across in that video as a guy that is still pisses that his account got hacked.

Marcus has a legit gripe with Microsoft the same way he does with many corporate and gaming issues. Again, its an important issue because very few people question Microsofts moves in front of Michael Pachter. A lot of people on Gametrailers are agreeing with Marcus.

Gametrailer is not nearly a popular as it used to be as a matter of fact since they redesigned it its pretty much a total mess.

Yes, the contracts with Spike TV are definitely an indicator of its lack of popularity. After Adam Sessler left G4 he went straight to Gametrailers and did Bonus Round and E3 Gametrailers Spike TV access. Who are you trying to kid? Bonus Round has the most star studded gaming journalists in gaming, including developers  and the likes of Pachter on their panel. Of course this would be the one and only time Xbox 360 loyalists agree with Pachter.

Like honestly bro. If you have something against Xbox. Take it with Microsoft. Not against its gamers.

Dude....Tell that Pachter. He kind of labeled gamers who dont agree with Microsofts Xbox Live system. If you notice a lot of Xbox Loyalists are the only ones complaining about what Beer said in front of Pachter without just accepting it as an opinion. It has nothing to do with them as people.

You might still like it but since the redesign I avoid it.  Its one off the least user friendly sites on the entire web now.  Even the PS3 xmb is more user friendly and its six years old.
