Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)

PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)

Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right

Halo 4 first 9 weeks sales prediction

These are the people that predicted it would sell less than 7 million, some said less than 6m. although Pezus went back and forth predicting 6.5-7 to 7.0-7.5.

That's pessimism, not blind hate.  Mine was due to COD, his was due to Halo being a dying franchise. 

And I was nowhere near as adamant. 


Yeah, it's good to predict low sometimes to be pleasantly surprised.

And well done to Halo 4. A fine game indeed, deserving of the 7.5m sales. Couldn't be happier with it.

What's the problem?

-Halo Reach had 16 weeks to sell in 2010.
-Halo Reach sold 7.1m
Halo 4 has about 8 weeks to sell in 2012
- Even if it sells at a faster rate than Reach (which it likely will), it won't be enough to compensate the fact that Reach had double the amount of time to sell.


6-6.5m this year you say? When next weeks numbers come in it'll be over 7.5m

If we get lucky enough to get numbers again. Last year almost nothing was known about December sales. Hopefully the best sellers of 2012 will give us a clue about sales. Halo 4 should be in third place behind Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed. Though I think NFL 2013 is undertracked and it might end up above Halo as well. NFL is usually a 5mil selling franchise and vgchartz has Halo 4 below 5mil for the year.
