Forums - Nintendo - EA sent ME3 on Wii U to die.

It's obvious, EA sent ME3 on Wii U only to fail. How can EA seriously think ANYONE would buy this when they are launching ME trilogy for the same price mere days before. I already thought it was weird that EA could expect that anyone would buy this because playing the previous games is so important to the experience, but now it's clear that they are not expecting anything.

They will watch it fail and use that argument to claim that supporting the system is not worth it! Remember when EA's ceo kept saying good thing about the wii u? What happened since then? Did Nintendo pee in their cherios? If they were serious about givng the system a chance, they would have made a port for Dead Space 3, Medal of Honor or Need for Speed.

Trying to convince investors the Nintendo console is not suitable for more mature games again, aren't you EA?

I normally don't back up hate arguments at EA that assume things like this, but I agree with you 100%.

Was it ever supposed to succeed anyway?

Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U is aimed at the Nintendo-only audience and the trilogy coming out on 360/PS3/PC doesn't change anything.

I bet they'll port the trilogy to WiiU, but only after everyone buys ME3 first.

Since the last EA game I bought on a nintendo hardware is def jam vendetta, I'm not expecting anything from EA anymore.

Not sure how it would have succeeded, even without the trilogy, to the extent you would believe. Remember all the ridicule ME2 got on PS3 because the first wasn't available? The WiiU will be missing the first 2 games. And It should still sell within EA's expectations.

The bottom line is neither a loss nor gain to Nintendo gamers, imo.

Well, that's EA allright.
It's what they do. They've done it since Joe Montana Football.

I LOVE ICELAND!

That's not how business works. EA is doing whatever they think will result in the highest amount of profit, just like every other company. (And releasing a game that they expect will sell poorly just to justify not releasing more games that they expect will sell poorly makes no sense at all. They would rather release nothing in that case.) They could have chosen not to release the game at all, and no one would give a shit since the game has been out for a while. But they expect good things to come out of this.

...Either that or Nintendo paid them to release the game.

EA has always hated (not sure if 'hate' is a strong word to use here) Nintendo, and it´s old, since the NES in the 80s.

You could say it´s one of those cases of emotions getting in the way of business, and how ridiculous it is for big companies to behave like this, but it seems that way here.
