Forums - Nintendo - EA sent ME3 on Wii U to die.

WTF! why didn't they just to a trilogy on WiiU from the start?

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

ME3 has been pushed back from the Wii U launch for a reason.

I'm not saying we're definitely getting the trilogy on it.

I'm saying it's not off the table.

That's not how business works. EA is doing whatever they think will result in the highest amount of profit, just like every other company. (And releasing a game that they expect will sell poorly just to justify not releasing more games that they expect will sell poorly makes no sense at all. They would rather release nothing in that case.) They could have chosen not to release the game at all, and no one would give a shit since the game has been out for a while. But they expect good things to come out of this.

...Either that or Nintendo paid them to release the game.

It provides a justification against future investor revolt. One floptastic port, and you get all the justification you need to avoid the platform in the future.

MGS3DS was pushed back as well, for no identifiable reason at all.

That doesn't reflect on the matter at hand in any way.

I was never too interested in the franchise to begin with... but all three Mass Effect games for the price of one is a great deal, and I've heard too many good things about the series to completely ignore it.

I was going to pass up Mass Effect 3: Special Edition for the Wii U, as I felt no need to just play the third game. But if the trilogy happened to come by the console, I'd definitely pick it up. If not, I'll probably buy the trilogy set for PC. I'm sure someone will ask an EA spokesperson down the road... so the answer shouldn't be too long.

well ME3 is already out on other consoles so it will be arriving late, had it arrived on wii that would be fine but the bigger issue is nintendo gamers have no choice but to buy a new console just to play the same games as ps360. i predict it will do ok for launch but nothing spectacular

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I wouldn't say that one port of a several months old game selling poorly would be enough to indicate that future ports also will sell poorly.

"Self-destructively spiteful things third parties have done to Nintendo console-holders."

Like I said; we'll see. I don't think the chip on EA's shoulder is that big.
