the Wii was priced at ¥25,000 at launch... but now with the high Yen.. probably gonna be 299 euro instead of 250..

I think it'll end up being $249/$299, and £200/£230.Guess we'll know in less than 6 hours.

the tablet proved to be quite pricy about 170$ bucks, it will probably be less in usa as prices are higher in japan but still, the tablet alone costs alot! i say 299$ minimum. and my speculation is that it will be for 350$

Yeah it's shockingly expensive...but I was using the whole conversion ratio other consoles used:

Wii- 25000y, $250

Vita- 30000y, $300

3DS- 25000y, $250

So the WiiU will likely be $250/$300, if it's the same bundle.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

If it's sold standalone in the West it might as well be 250, but if they bundle NintendoLand they'd go 300.

PS: Gamepad is very expensive, it's better to buy a system or with a bundle-a-la-wiifit to hide that price.

Damn, $173 for an extra gamepad, in Aus they will likely bump it up to $199 at least. And the system itself being $350/400 is going to mean something along the lines of $399/$450 for us as well :/

A price cut for the 360/PS3 would make it tough for the Wiiu this holidays.

a regular controller for $170 is just crazy.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Good thing the regular controllers are only going for ¥5040, roughly equivalent to $65, in Japan. Probably will be at most $60 in the US, possibly cheaper.

Only the super controller that no one needs or wants more than one of will cost $170.

That price of the gamepad is insane.

Also will this produce Graphics like Halo 4 or Last of Us ?

Im very sceptical about this Console.

How do you look at a system that clearly has better specs than PS360 and ask wether or not it'll be able to do games that looks as good as systems with lesser specs?

The Wii wasn't bundled with Wii Sports in Japan.
