Again, we don't know this. The WiiU is new hardware and the TES engine was not built for that hardware. Getting something running on different hardware isn't a huge deal, getting it running well and tested is.

If they were able to make an engine run on the PS3 and the 360, they could definitely do the same for the WiiU. It certainly doesn't agree with the arguments the interviewee made in OP (segmenting an audience, not powerful enough, moving target, ...), which were all quite obviously excuses for not wanting to work on the WiiU. The advantages of reaching the audience of a new console far outweigh everything he mentioned, without even losing anything previously obtained (the HD twins userbase).
